Love my hatch, I think the styling suits it better, and the added utility of, you know, hauling a full sized recliner in the back of a subcompact car is unquestionable.

As far as I know most preformance and exterior mods don't fit on the sedan. I think pretty much everything is made for the hatch. Kinda pointless getting a sedan. They are pretty ugly too.

i got the hatch, and i love it, moving into my apartment this summer, i moved a lot of stuff in the back with the rear seats folded.

i drove the sedan at a dealer once, just didn't like it as much.

I gotta go with hatch. 2 reasons

1: The hatchback has better cargo room and "trunk" space.

2: The hatchbacks rear styling is better than the sedans. The rear lights on the hatch look better than the sedans.

Well, not quite everyone.

I'm a sedan type of guy and don't appreciate the comnets on "ugly". You're hurting my car's feelings!

Interesting how perspective skews things.

I think the hatch looks like a toy.

Then again, I'm not the one Nissan is marketing the hatch to.

hatchback...without question.

cooler looking and practical. can you haul your bike in the sedan? wait, isn't it true the seats don't fold down in the sedan?

Seats fold down, split 60/40. Good for wauling skis but not bikes. But then again, that's waht bike racks are for.

Trunk is big enough for groceries and luggage -- and some of the renovation material I've needed (toilet, sink . . . but not a 4X8 sheet of gyproc -- shoulda kept the van, I guess. Would something like that fit into the hatch?).

Does what I need/want.

Again, personal preference.

sedans to me look better... and its just me but i think subwoofers go better in a trunk because of the sound waves... it act as two boxes... in a hatch it has to much free air out side the box...

Love my Sedan. Sorry gang - I never liked the look of the HB. If Nissan would have put some design into the tail end of the HB - I might change my mind. Right now it looks like someone backed it up to a wall and flattened it out. Oh my - am I gonna get beat up now!

Back to my Sedan - you would be surprised how much you can put in its trunk. Yes, it looks small - but it is deep and their is plenty of room. As far as hauling - I use my Frontier for that purpose.

Kinda funny you should say that... since the hatch was the original design, and the sedan was the one that was whipped together in just a few hours for the NA market.

To me, I love the hatch's design. Very practical, and the lines all flow together as you walk around the car from front to back.

On the sedan, you get to the C-pillar, and then realize that everything behind that looks like it was glued on from another car. In fact, I think I can pinpoint it... a lot of the rear looks like a 01-04 Hyundai Elantra... just shrunk down and put on the V's front end.

Hatch served its purpose very well this weekend, with 2 dashes, a driveshaft and some other things hauled in it.

I have one question though... how does one get such a lofty liberal arts degree, yet fail one basic premise? That being: "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Fail. Epic.

If beauty was in the eye of the beholder then all the cars out there would be probably ugly, just like the hatchback, since nissan took the quote literaly and made it "BEAUTY IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER" and thats what came out of a nice car, but the SEDAN on the other hand is true beauty.

Sad that you have to ask this question. You know that you're older than me, yet your 3rd grade antics started this little spin-off in the conversation.

Quote »I didnt start the post or the Mud slinging!
Actually, vpnavy and I were discussing, not mud slinging. I'm sure if you asked him, he was not in the least offended by what I said. We've both been around this board a long time... WAY longer than you, and have talked a couple times off-board. We can joke with each other.

You, on the other hand, came here and took it upon yourself to get your panties in a knot and "defend the art that is the sedan". When noone was even talking to you.

Dude, it's a car. No matter how you boil it, it comes down to personal preference. You're obviously on the side that would never buy a hatch. I'm obviously on the side that would never buy a sedan.

Quote »But it is nice to know i get under your skin, "Mr. Knowitall"!
Oh, you have to try a LOT harder to get there. Ask CodeRed... he's seen me when someone has ACTUALLY gotten under my skin.

Am I reacting? Yes. Why? bored as hell. Nothing to do at work today. Had there been something else to entertain me, I would have done what i normally do with one of your posts. Ignore it like the witless, Clipsed-like drivel it is.
