Did you try the buttons on the steering wheel ?

When I bought my car, I drove 500 miles. All the way home I was trying to figure out how to get CC to work, once I pulled in the driveway and turned the car off, there where the damn'd buttons on the steering wheel, pissed me off so bad. lol

since im not gonna track the car anyways for a while till i get new wheels so i dont mess up my tires for my daily wheels, im gonna get new speakers first since my fronts dont work and my rears sound like paper

after that i really want a VLSD because open diff is gay, and i gotta replace my outer tie rods anyways so im getting tein ones used

after that unless i decide to save up and get coils, then ill get a good strut spring combo

dude don't get used tie rod ends. I got brand new moog tie rod ends from rockauto for cheap...I forgot how much i paid but it was a good deal. Moog is a good brand.

BTW, the tein tie rod ends will only give you more steering angle with the aftermarket tein tie rods..if that's why you wanted the tein's. If not, nvm.

They were only used for 1 and a half months by a local dude. and yeah, what im buyhing is tein tie rods

Ive never heard of Moog in my life before, i wouldnt wanna put suspension parts on my car from a cheap brand.

i dont really care about the extra steering angle too much cause the 240 (or s14 atleast) has the tightest damn turning radius ive ever seen on a stock car

edit: ok i just looked up moog and they seem to just be OEM replacements. i opted not to have them replaced when my car was getting fixed, cause i knew i was gonna get some nice aftermarket ones anyways, so im gonna stick to that

How do they ride? im hearing that struts and springs are mad bouncy, and are just as uncomfortable as coils for daily driving

moog isnt just a OEM replacement. when i had my ball joints go out in my old truck i replaced them with moog ones and even after getting air time and crawling on rocks i still never had problems with them] they are made out of way better matterials but look OEM if i remember correctly they are like moog "problem solvers" or something like that

If im gonna spend the money to upgrade to aftermarket suspension parts, i wanna atleast get the advantage from it

So your saying struts and springs arent bouncy, there just the same ride as coils except they dont perform as good? Also, do they sell coils or struts and springs that are meant to be a little bit easyer on the ride quailty for daily driving and occasional track time? Im not talking about the luxury ones, but just ones that have a decent ride

if i recall right, theres a bunch of ones like that out there, but everyones saying all coils will be rough, and struts and sprigns arent really any better, just mad bouncy

I've ridden in quite a few lowered cars and i never have i experienced a bouncy ride with a spring strut combo that was done properly. didn't cut any coils and struts were not blown. now my cousin has a civic he lowered and 3 of 4 struts are blown and that thing bounces all over the place. my car is very firm and i like it that way, eventually i will get coils but I'm in no hurry.

the only cars i can think of that a re bouncy that I've ridden in are 2 civics with cut OE springs my cousins with blown struts and a 350z with cut OE springs.

car with coils that are to rough for a DD are a D1 drift mustang a C6R replica corvette and a supra with tein super street coils

i think it has more to do with the road conditions that you DD on. my cousin with the blown struts lived in NY his whole life and when he moved down here he was amazed how smooth the roads were. to me the roads suck

i have 3 friends that all have the same year 350z and all have different springs with the same struts. i cant tell the difference in the 2 that use eibach sport-line and pro-kit but the one that has tein HA i can tell it take bumps a lot better than the others, it is actually smoother than my 350 with stock suspension.

if i were you i would just research your options and price range you want and figure out whats best for you. ask what people use and see how they like it.

yeah, id also look into used, but idk about used struts

ill just keep doing research

my starter just died, so i had to running start it in second, and its gonna be sitting in my garage till i can get a new starter, which really sucks cause im supposed to go in at 9am on monday for a job interview so i can finally get started, and if my car doesnt work, idk how im gonna get there.

once thats out of the way though, in about a month ill either get suspension or the 5 lug swap first, cause my tires are starting to wear anyways and there kinda dry rotted from sitting in the driveway for a while before i bought, and theres no point of getting new tires on wheels that im getting rid of in about a month

anyways... we will see what happens haha

anyone know how much a new starter is? the dude who helped me push my car was tellin me his was $130 for a refurbrished one or whatever at discount auto, and they bought his old one which wasnt working for $40. hes got an s13 tho, but its DE so it should be the same. are starters universal?

there is no way thats a DD gotta be a track car right?

its so low the body kit would be scrapped to hell on the streets.

i would figure thats a track car. i glanced at what is in the back and came to the conclusion that it either is a track car or was just finished at some shop and wanted "pimp" pictures.

on the starters thats the average price for any starter(130$) ive replaced three and they've always been that much

There is no way ih hell I could daily drive that as is.

I used to daily drive it for about 3 years that low, but I had stock body.

I drive it that low at the track though.I don't want "pimp" pictures. What is that?

They ride way better than my blown stock struts lol. No but seriously they feel fine. Considering the roads around my house they feel great. The roads suck around here, extreme pot holes. they tried to fix a couple of them by filling in the holes a couple of months back. Now the filling came off and look like they got twice as big.

But I really like the feel of em. I got the pro-kits because I personally dont think S14's need that big of a drop like the S13. But thats all in personal taste.

*Edit* Oh and I really like the KYB AGX's because I can adjust the dampening so if it's a little too stiff or soft I can fix that.

$400 shipped, plus the springs for a total of $600 shipped. I know I could of gotten Megan Streets for an extra $300, but that could be used somewhere else. Like my transmission swap.
