Reread the first page and saw McKinney. I shouldve made mine from the block to the frame too, but I re used the rb motor side mounts, so it JUST BARELY clears with the reinforcing cut out from underside of hood. But my radiator made a cut hood necessary, oh well. Just wish I had a steel hood

Nice. Im a little disappointed about my stock z32 ecu stopping my RB at 7k. I know it can go more. Eventually I will get a Nistune daughter board put in.

AutoVaughn Performance

in TN does them. I'm sending my 90 z32 8bit auto N/a ecu to them and itll work with the type 2 board hooked up to the RB25. They internally repin the ECU. Last time I called it was like $480 after I ship them my ecu and I get an individual tuners license with the cables and nistune install disc

Im actually thinkin of trying a stock TT ecu, as the o2 and knock wiring is done via my harness, and the TT has the map for 370cc injectors like the rb25. Mine seems to be great for now, but it does feel like it could get a little more there somewhere. About 4-6k feels a little flat. Great low end, and top end tho.

Ok so Ive been trying to find out the cleanest way to do the wiring. I've found a lot of information as far as how to wire it when I put it all together.

I looked up how Series 2 Rb25det are wired into a s14 being I heard its easier because the Main harness connector from the "dash harness" to the EFI harness just needs to be repined.

So heres the start of some info from http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=397649

Copied***
(See Sileighty_85's http://zilvia.net/f/chat/332057-project-rb-how.html thread for an extensive guide on the actual swap in its entirety.)

Let's begin with some of my issues and observations I made between my own motorset's harness and those of others I've come across through my searches.

RB25 Series 1 harness•2 blue Relays near ECU & F3 plug
•Wider MAFS connector for green label 'J60' 5-prong MAFS
RB25 Series 2 harness•1 blue Relay near ECU & F3 plug
•Narrower MAFS connector for pink label 'E60' 3-prong MAFS
Useful note: Fourth-gen ('95-'99) Maxima MAFS are exactly the same as S2 RB25 MAFS so they are interchangeable. The part #s are the same, as well as me being able to confirm this after finding out I was sent the wrong MAF with my motorset and hitting the local U-Pull-A-Part.

I am also led to believe that because of the ignitor chip/coilpack difference between Series 1 and 2 RBs, there is a discrepancy in the wiring. In the following diagram, it instructs to somehow re-pin two wires into one terminal. The first is what should be a solid RED wire (for "ignition relay power") from terminal #4 to #17, the second being a WHITE with BLACK STRIPE wire (ECCS Relay power) from terminal #24 to #17 as well. This is where I feel the wiring difference between S1s and S2s comes into play. Since S1s have 2 Relays and S2s only one, it looks like S1 owners have to find some way to make two wires merge into one terminal.
Disclaimer: I am NOT 100% on this, probably not even 75%. I have come to this conclusion through what I have researched so far, along with the complete lack of any solid red wire on my S2 motorset's harness originating from the ECU or M63 (F3) plug.

So instead I looked up the 300zx F2 plug

so then I found a 300zx F2 pin outline and matched it up with the 300zx wiring diagram and the ecu Pin out to double check

so far Ive labeled the spare F2 plug with what each wire is (according to 300zx ECU pin and wire color) and the pin it matches up with on the Rb F3 plug going into the new Rb25 harness making it so either could be used :bigthumb: or even repin the F3 plug later incase the harness gets used in a s14

and.... I wired up this :D

I also did the driver fenderwell mod for the auto relay delete so it wont look for the car to be in "P" since I'm also swapping in the 5spd

and I always solder my wires

lol I'm tired tho Time for bed
