WOW!!!!

I never realized we had so many hot classic Z's on board!

I'm gonna go take a peek at a '72 240 tomorrow... Gonna see if it's worth rescuing.

Hey jmark - Could I inquire as to where you got the HL covers and front valance?

I'm using a Wolf 3d EMS,T04e,450cc injectors,60mm TB,3" mandrel ss exhaust,Tial BOV, on stock interanls and it dynoed at 326whp/320ft/lbs at 13 psi on a Dynopac. The front is just the MSA aero kit. The wheels are 16x7 panasports with Toyo RA1's 225-50-16.I happen to like the sunroof although I probably woulnrt do it again.Suspension is GC coilovers suspention technics springs 275 fronts 250 rears with Koni 8160's all around. Brakes are AZ willwoods (doing rears this winter) 3.70 LSD, Fidanza alum flywheel with centerforce 2 clutch (so far no problems). Ive got an r33 Rb26 on the stand that will be built for 450- 500whp. At that time I'll do the R230/CV swap.

I believe thats the MSA type 3 airdam, then you won't need a front bumper

Sounds like I may go that route - I'm hearing how rare 70-72 bumpers are.

However, I've heard the MSA kits fit poorly. Not looking forward to a lot of bodywork.

This kit fit pretty good. I did have to do a very little shaping where the front tied into the stock wheel well. And a little where the side skirts met the door sill but overall it wasnt enough to even ***** about.I expected it.

the 71.5-73 bumpers are easier to find, it's the series 1's (70-71.5) that are impossible to find

Had this car for a while; just now about to start restoring it. These were taken about 4 years ago (kind of embarrassing that nothing's been done in that long, but it's a long story).

With my dad, I'm going to restore this one into a relatively original state (except for the exhaust system and those smog carbs, and a few other things that are reversible) and get another Z to modify (step from an L28 turbo eventually to an SR20 maybe? whatever I can afford to do).

Mark, your car is what I'd do with unlimited money, skill and time - it's quite simply the baddest Z in the world (and I'll argue that all day long).

Welcome aboard, we're honored to have you here.

I hope to pick your brain as I'm beginning the restoration of my 72...
