Sorry to tell you man but if you burned through two clutches like that consecutively, regardless of what brand they are it's more likely you can't install them properly or your clutching skills need work.

The only excuse I can see for it is if your engine is incredibly high horsepower in which case shame on you for using a cheap clutch on an expensive engine.

In most cases though it sounds like most of the posters who have bad experiences just don't know what they're doing. I.E. "Clutch didn't even work LOLZ and it made my engine burn out lollll it cant even handel 6000rpm 3second clutch dump XTD sux0r"

I know this is REALLY old thread, but I have two S13 KA-Ts with XTD stage 4 clutches. They kick ***!!!Maybe you touched the plate and/or disc with geasy fingers, or didn't "preclean" the protective coating off?Just a thought. The reason I posted: I bought a stage 3 first only to find it slipped. I called XTD to have them tell me there's to much torque for a 3. They offered to let me only pay the differance and ship. I thought it was good customer service as I had already installed the "weaker/wrong" system. I realize you're stock, but maybe you could've called them for a chance to make it right?JMO

Hey whats their number? I had a leak on my exhaust seal on my maifold for my turbo. I fixed it and now my clutch slips since I hit boost way faster. I also have a stg 3 currently. Email me at [email protected] if you could. I dont want us to get off topic here.

UPDATE. I found the number from the place I bought it from. I called them up, and I was told to call again monday (they were closing) .I was told that they will send me out the stg. 4 pressure plate to assist in the slipping. As long as things go well Monday I would say they have good customer service as well.

k, well after 2 drift days of being beat to death it still grabs hard as hell lol.

It's about 6k miles on it and 2 real rough drift days. Including my foot pushing the pedal enough to slip while on the turns a few times and a brake torque that i shifted into 2nd only to realize my tires wern't spinning.

So, yeah i can say $150 well spent. DD16 it's gonna be abused again

Im very satisfied so far. I talked to Jimmy at aimcoclutchs.com. He said I should be recieving my stg4 within the next 4 days. Their warranty service has been outstanding so far. No aruging over the phone. It only took me 5 minutes to have a stronger pressure plate mailed out to me at no cost once so ever.

Alright, I got my new pressure plate in. They sent me a exedy plate in the original box and all My clutch has stopped slipping since I made my last post on the matter as long as it is warm. Should I just replace it anyway? The XTD plate is pretty soft, and I was thinking that obvously Exedy is better anyway, and I was thinking that I should swap it out just for good measure. What do you guys think?

My XTD STG 3 had another name on it under the sticker. It was SAMCO or something with a S. I wont change it out untill it slips I guess.
