Nothing against Xentec since I was almost going to purchase them from amazon after seeing the HID votes, but they were not the slim ones. How long have you had those in?
they came in the original Xentec packaging. The ballasts may have ahd "Xentec" engraved somewhere on the ballast...i didnt look before i closed everything up......oh, and anyone can throw a sticker on something and call it "Xentec".....i wouldnt worry about there not being a sticker that says "Xentec" on them.

ive had the regular sized ballast Xentec 5000K's in my lows for about a month and theyve worked perfectly.....just got my 2 Super Slim ballast sets today and replaced my regular sized low beam ballasts with slim ones and put the second set of slims in my fogs......i couldnt be happier......they look great!!!

Those 5000Ks are white with just a little hint of blue right? I know those are supposed to be plug and play but if I was to get a relay harness would that insure that my stock bulb wiring won't melt?

I heard that ballasts don't have to be slim to be digital, anyone know if this is true?

The same seller has just the bulbs for sale ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem ), but not having looked at the stock bulbs, I'm not sure of the connectors. Anyone know if these will work for factory HID upgrade? Are HID connectors fairly universal?
Don't be confused, 4300K actually output a bit more light compared to 5000 or 6000 and especially the 10K lights. It's not an "upgrade" in terms of more light. The only thing you're getting with the 6000K bulbs is that you'll have a bluish tint which may look good but can also attract unwanted attention from cops. Of course that will depend on where u live as well.

Since unwanted attention of cops is brought up....

Hey Bina, have you had any problems from the police in MoCo with those Xentec 5000Ks? Just bought a pair to see how they are.

avoid buying !! Sent wrong item and won't respond back. must be illiterate.

BUYERS BEWARE OF SELLER PAID ALMOST 2 WEEKS AGO STILL NO PRODUCT RECIEVED

lightes did not work bad bulbs and ballest wouldn't return emails or calls SUCKS

Tried to contact, but no response, and the thing sent doesn't fit low quality

Lousy product, lousy seller, no communication. His positive rating is beyond me

1st time 1 ballast bad, 2nd 1 ballast bad. Doesn't even respond to emails!

Seller did not send item or refund money. Beware of this seller.
I had a very similar experience. Received the package. It contained H1's not H11's. No seller reponse after numerous emails and 2 weeks. Put in a complaint with paypal. Buyer beware.

na no problems with cops.....shouldnt have any problems.....5000k's should be legal

i have noticed though my fogs are significantly brighter than the lows, even though they are the same bulbs. like if im standing in front of the car, the fogs just seem to be brighter.

im gonna post some pics and a vid of them firing up sometime this week

I was reading some other threads, didn't you have the xenonmatch bulbs for the fogs? I was thinking bout getting those. Were they not good since you switched to hids for fogs as well?

well i never actually put in the Xenonmatch bulbs....im actually returning them since i put in the HIDs. the day i ordered the slim ballast HIDs was the day that i got the Xenonmatch bulbs in the mail, so i just plan on sending the Xenonmatch bulbs back and getting my $40 back

Those look awseome. I'm glad I went with the 5000Ks, just hate waiting for the things to arrive. Did you end up having to make any adjustments to you lows as in where they were pointing? I don't want to blind people too much.

when standing in front of the car the fogs seem sooo much brighter than the lows because theres no cover over the bulb like in the lows

I have the auto on-off headlights in mi 2.5, will that cause a problem when I install and fire up the hid's? And if so what should I do?

Also, if I want to purchase fogs, where can I get them, and what prices did you guys end up paying for them, thanks alot

some people have reported some miss firings, but if you just turn the lights off and then on again, they will fire up no problem....some people say the way to solve the miss firing problem with the auto headlights is to install a relay.

i dont see a difference in performance, but the fact that they are super small, and for the same price as the regular ballasts was the key for me. they say youre supposed to get longer bulb life with the slim ballasts.

i have had a couple miss fires on my passenger side bulb and i think one of my fog lights once, when using the auto headlight feature, but i just turn the lights off and turn them back on and they work fine. i would have installed a relay when i installed everything, but i didnt know about the relays when i installed the lights.....it just seems like to much work to take the whole bumper off again to install some relays
