Scott: I don't use PayPal anymore after they lost my account info and tried to make me jump through a silly amount of hoops to get it back active. Can I send you a M.O. or personal check? I realize that this may delay shipment. The finished size is currently 7" wide x 2" tall, but that can obviously be adjusted.I'm sending you an eps now....

MoD: The rear quarter window is almost exactly 7" wide at the bottom. There is just enough room for a 7" decal to fit without problems. Just to be sure, it may not be a bad idea for Scott to plot these at like 6.9" wide.

Hey Scott,I forgot yo ask you this in the email and I figure some others may want to know as well.In the event that we put the decal on our windows, then decide later to remove it for whatever reason, what is the procedure?

I know we could always go the razorblade route, but is there a better way to completely remove the decal and any residue without the chance of harming our windows?

As far as removing decails from windshields. I used to install autoglass, and we would remove stickers from brandnew windshields with a regular razorblade and glass cleaner.

You can definitely put me down for the decails. I will represent here in S.C.Do we have to use paypall? or can we send you a check or even $5 in cash. It's 5 bucks, not to worried about you stiffing me or something.

Are your windows tinted? Did you buy them like that, or do it after purchase? And if so, how? It looks great.

Actually I haven't tinted my windows yet. It was just an overcast day. I did however look at some sweet 18's for the car, black with a silver lip, w/tires installed for somewhere between $1300-1400. Haven't decided if I will do it yet or not.

Here is an EPS format file based off the image above. Don't know if that is what you want or not.

If there is a way for you to smoothe out the edges, I'm sure that would be appreciated

Scott: Did you get the EPS/PDF I sent you last week?

Audtatious: Scott's output is vector-based, which means he won't have any trouble smoothing out the edges. Right, Scott?

Looks great, except that the font in the proofs was different sizes, and yours is all one size. The font I used is called "Usuzi" and it's a replica of the Isuzu font. You can find it free on several free font sites, or just email me and I'll send it to you.The sizes are in points and are as follows:N=59issan=34V=59ersa=44.org=34Usuzi is an all-caps font. These sizes are relative and may be adjusted to get the look of the proof on your particular plotter.Call ot email me if you have any output questions.Great work! I'm excited.

I assume you mean the pic of the logo?I doubt there's any copyright issues, but I'll send you a clean version from the original design if you want.Just drop me an email and let me know what format you want it in. GIF or JPEG will probably be your best bet.

Let's go with the Usuzi font as Elmojo suggested above.

I agree. I think Usuzi matches the true Nissan font a bit more closely than the proof. Do you need me to send it to you?I'll be in the office all day tomorrow (Wed.) and can email upon request. One of the reasons I'm voting to go with the original font is for the variable height of the letters per the eps I send you. Other may not care, but I think whoever suggested staggering the heights should get a cookie! I think it really makes our decal stand out from the crowd.

Elmojo,

I e-mailed your hotmail address. If you send me the font I can make a good vector file for Scott to cut with.

still going for 5 bucks a pop?

My windows are tinted Llumar 35% Charcoal and will have the decals as soon as Scott (hint, hint!) gets the prototype to me. I'll apply them right away and post pics.

Hey Scott, what's the status?Last I heard, you had a prototype ready and would be making the changes noted above and ready to ship in a day or so.I'm just wondering when I'll be seeing decals in my mailbox?

Thanks a ton!

I got my decals today, thanks Scott! What is the proper application method for these decals? There weren't any instructions and I'd hate to screw these up because I missed some minor but important step.

I'll post pics as soon as I get them applied.

Hey Scott,

I just got back in the office and finally had a chance to take a close look at these decals. I have a few questions:

1) The 'issan' and 'ersa.org' are all the same size. Were you not able to stagger the font sizes as noted above?

2) The letters appear kinda choppy. Is this a trait of the cutting process or can this be fixed? It looks good from a distance, but up close, appears a little amatuerish. If this isn't something that can be fixed, it will probably be okay.

Otherwise they look terrific. I'll wait to hear back from you before applying these and taking pics.

Thanks,Elmojo

Would tracing the original design in Corel or Illy help? I can get you clean vectors if I have the font from Elmo. Let me know if you guys want me to try.

I'm not interested in decals but would love to help. I have access to COrel Draw 12 and Illustrator CS2 and wouldn't mind taking the time to do a clean trace if it would help.

Definitely understood. We realize you're doing us a favor here. If you've got a design you're ready to go with, I'd say just let everyone know what it looks like and make that one available for them to buy. There's no need for you to spend any more time on this than you have.

Thanks again Scott.

I hope I didn't offend you with my comments, Scott.I think the decals look killer, I was mainly just thinking out loud and being the perfectionist my wife tells me not to be!I'll get the sample you sent me applied today and post some pics so everyone can see the finished product.I was really trying to ask if we needed to choose another font, which is what you suggested. If staggering the font size is no big deal, I'd suggest you do that for the others, and I'll probably buy another set to replace these once you get them finalized.

Okay, rambling over, lemme go get these things on....

---EDIT---Here's the overall shot, more to follow...
