AZ, you know what kills me about that MR2 with 808 miles? It hasn't been broken in yet! :-) I'd have to drive it like a wuss for a few more miles, and then, well, back into the garage. Thank god I could take my dad's S2000 out when I want to have some fun, hehe (if I could ever pry the key's out of his fingers, when he's not driving it). But today, for $20,000, the best performance you could get new would probably be a SRT-4 . . . I'd much rather have the "Deuce". ;-)

Call me a weirdo but the only thing I don't like about the Ebay MR2 is the Z3 fenders. There are alot of people on this board that hate widebody kits and thats fine, its all personal opinion. It may not be a $20,000 job, but it depends on wheter that is a widebody kit you can buy anywhere, or whether it is custom made. I work in a body shop and have since I was 15, I'm now 22 and I can tell you that $20,000 for a custom widebody kit, molded in, plus the vents, widening the front fenders, etc, with a custom paint job with matching door jambs, taking everything off, etc, is highly possible. Average prices around here for a complete quality paintjob taking everything off is $3000. Keep in mind that price varies depending on the shop. The smaller shops will do all the jambs and outside, taking everything off for around $2800, the larger shops want close to $4000. Thats just for paint and its a stock 2 stage color. If the car in question is a 3 stage factory color then the price adds around $500 for the extra material. If you're talking Kandy paint, the going rate is $5400 for cars and $6500 for SUVs. So, while he may have fallen short of the $20000 mark, he could have come quite close if the widebody kit is custom made.

As for the paint not matching, it could possibly be the angles of the fenders reflecting differently than the door.
