IMO the kit is just to boxy for a car that is has such smooth, gorgeous lines stock. Don't really like the look of the headlight conversion either...

...SW20's are sick though. Preferably black, turbo, and stock body (with a nice Greddy T-67 :) )

I would rather have a 4agze powered 88-89 model myself. THat car has too much crap on it. Might look better in person though.

The supercharged MR-2's are pretty sick. Especially for the price! I've found a few pretty good one's for like $3,000-5,000. Plus there light as hell.

Pininfarina is the Messiah.

You just don't touch his work. You can't improve on it, so don't try. No, I don't care if you like the the other way better, the man designs Ferraris. When you design ferraris, you can do whatever you want to your car. Until then, don't touch.

I wasnt a big fan of the car either but I saw two post that said Z3 fenders belong on Z3's. LOL Some would say Silvia conversions belong on get this........SILVIA's. No one says crap like that when someone does a conversion on a car that will never be a Silvia.

At least it is the same company. Also it is the same chassis if your talking about the s13 conversion. See the difference. Now it might more closly relate to an s14, 15 front on an s13 or an s15 front on a s14. :batman

Edit* Chassis, Unibody you know what I mean.

Yes but ppl do silvia conversions to have as close as possible JDM car plus you cant get one in the US. An its still all nissan. You can buy a Z3 here so no point in tryin to make ur MR2 look like one, also why make a toyota into a beemer. An IMO silvias look better than honda/z3 :)

Regardless of this specific car, the SW20 chassis is absolutely beautiful, and happens to be the reason my 240 is for sale. :-)

And, FWIW, the SW21 model is the US N/A model, whereas the SW22 is the US Turbo model . . . http://www.board.mr2faq.com/ is a great source for information for all generations MR2

Also, if you happen to be in the mood for a truly rare car, there's a 1995 MR2 N/A on eBay right now; in 1995, only 356 were sold in the US, most of which were turbos.

SW20 is the turbo model, SW21 is the N/A model.

And that doesn't look like $25,000 in custom body work. That looks like a WBK ($2000) + body work ($2000) + paint ($3,000). 2+2+3= 7.

And that's one ****ty paint job. They did a crappy job trying to match the original Steel Mist Grey (one of the BEST OEM colors EVER, and if you think otherwise you're a terrorlst.)

Ugh, ugly *** rims. Oh and those headlights are Trueleo headlights or the Streetweapons ones, either way both are around $400. So this is a lemon car, the guy obviously doesn't want to blow another $3k into getting it repainted and matched so he wants to sell it. Grrr, not only that the body is probably held together by small amounts of bondo and nails. *sigh*

Am I the only person who thinks that paint job looks like ****. Lots of the body panels arent even close to matching in hue and it really makes it look like the guy cheaped on the paint. just my 2 cents.

Well, if you want to get technical . . . :-)

The SW20 is the JDM turbo model (as well as the chassis code for all 1990-1999 MR2s), with the SW21 being the NA US model, the SW22 being the turbo US model, the SW23 the European NA model, with the 3SGE engine (whereas the US NA model has the 5SFE engine). (All of this information can be seen in the VINs as well)

*sigh* yeah, that thing was a corner hugger and could drift if you spanked it hard enough. *sniff sniff* Now I've got an SR20 powered 240sx. Won't ever be the same, but oh well?
