I would do it, but only if there were lines I could lock on to. I wouldn't freeclimb it for all the tea in China.

For instance, on the one bar he toes across, I'd have no problem with that if I could lock myself onto the bar itself on my way across and then detach myself at the end, etc.

But free? No way in hell.

there are lines, but from what i've read, they aren't supporting too much weight. it's recommended that people in groups leave enough distance between each other so that if one person falls, only their weight is on that section of line. there are plans of fixing it.

i still want to do it, and i'd rather do it before the reconstruction.

Mexican tourist falls to his death during hike, drunk.

Probably not the way to go out. I kid. Sounds like the perfect way to go.

witnesses made claims that as he was falling, it sounded as if he was yelling "THIS...IS...AMURRCAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH"

I think I would. He gets to see some really cool stuff, and its cool to get to somewhere most people never can or will.

Im not afraid of heights, and Im a tall gangly guy with lots of reach. I love free climbing, you just have to be cautious.

Meaning climbing 60 & 100ft incline rate with no rope and alone. The rating is a climbing scale rating the diffuculty of the climb. I'm not a climber but IIRC 5.9/5.10's are intermediate level I think. Either way he's saying he's got balls. LOL :rotfl

I've always been afraid of heights. I would totally hike that trail, that looks incredible. I actually want to go there now, that is beautiful. The best way to get over your fear of heights is to go someplace really high, look down, and then when you get to the bottom you are a little less afraid. I've done scarier stuff than that trail here in MN, in the old coal fired power plant. It is missing most of the floors, frickin awesome to climb around in, and its usually dark enough to forget that you are 10 stories off the ground.

This sort of activity is why the phrase "WTF" was invented.

I'm so scared of heights I'm only 5'11 3/4" tall. My body was like 6 feet? No thanks.
