g35=skyline in japan...so people want it to look like skyline... there was a guy that brought his to the dealer with the emblems...but he also had the door sills, steering wheel, and a few other things

wouldn't it be funny if there were some Skylines in Japan with G35/Infiniti badges added LOL

I put an SRT-8 badge on the tail gate of my otherwise debadged Hemi Ram. I had the SRT-8, intake manifold, valve covers, coil packs and cam shaft :-)

AS Drew says The g35 is a Skyline everywhere else. Skyline have a nice race background. We all can be proud of. There is nothing wrong to own a Nissan or Toyota. I don't know about the Honda. Just kidding.

Like the GT-R is going to be Skyline. I think is better than infiniti GT-R . Even sounds better too.

Not a fan of RE-badging....JDM JDM JDM..... Hey, but that's ok! I enjoy seeing something different! It's good to see enthuisism in their autos!Just don't prefer it for my car.I really prefer seeing a smooth lined, DE-badged G. Just me....I'm getting old now, so you have to respect your elders! shouldn't type after

Geez... I was gonna have to say "down boy"

I prefer the look of a debadged G myself... just the infiniti symbol alone looks best IMHO.

I will be re-badging mine once I find the front nissan logo for my sedan....I already got the back logo and already took off the "infiniti" and "g35"...I think it's more of an import tuner thing...I love going to drift shows and HIN is cool too...maybe that's it since like mentioned before, everywhere else the car is a skyline

Same brand...............different company. Nissan is to Infiniti, and vice versa.

The main reason everyone puts nissan badges on their infiniti's is simply (in my honest opinion) because of the JDM movement is the new "in" thing with these kids now-a-days (lol i'm 18, i'm still a kid myself... oh well...). And, since they do it in Japan; i guess they do it in the US too...

I have seen a few RHD Skylines totally re-badged to Infiniti, its just that people want what they cant have. In Japan/Australia having Infiniti is pretty cool cause they dont have Infiniti as a brand there and no one knows what it is. Just like you dont have Skylines in the US.

IMO the infiniti symbol looks much classier n better n the only reason why i would ever debadge my baby was to make it stand out n be different then the others so when ppl see my car..they will be

Simple - in the home market for these cars it is called the Nissan Skyline - In Japan these cars generally are higher performing as well. Also it is done to make the car different from everyone elses.

Hate to burst anyone's bubble but all the parts for our cars are made by Nissan - not infiniti. The car I had before the Infiniti was a Lexus LS400 - guess what name was stamped on all of the parts.

As for changing the emblems - I personally would rather not put a Nissan emblem on my car - but I will at some point keep the Infiniti Emblem but replace the Infiniti letters with Skyline.

So this is why the knobs are on the right side of the dash... LOL

But if we look close our infiniti's have the volume controls on the wheel

LOL

Looks like I started a Revolution!

Hey this is just to speak our minds....

Please no one take this to heart and get pissed at each other over the topic..

I see that why we do this is so that we can be different..

I know this has had my father asking me... I saw a car just like yours... but it had a nissan emblem... I had to tell him what was going on and he said it was just confusing lol

I like to blend in myself. I don't need another reason for a speeding ticket lol.

I plan on doing something like this to me car. I will use the infiniti emblem with the Skyline letters - I don't like the 350GT emblem (something about it looks to retro - althought I'm sure it is a throwback to the legendary Skyline history).

The Nissan Skyline has a longstanding history that predates Infiniti. So floks that use this emblem are acknowledging the history - the new GTR should be considered an Skyline and as you know the GTR is a Nissan.
