vengence, i was only referring to people that get their 240 and the next day say "im gonna get the S15 front end conversion!" because they saw it in super street or something. That's entirely different than just mentioning the idea and going with it whenever you got the money. My problem is the people that claim to do it without having justifiable means/funds to back it up. Im not just talking about the internet either....ive met at least 3 people in real life that have these "plans" More power to the one who does though...

rest your sphinctor vengence

If it goes down in Long Beach, HIT ME UP!!!!

Ever gone driving down around the port? Like off of Anaheim / 6th, around there? There are some pretty nice, wide open spaces that just scream drift. I went through a set of pads and a good couple thousand miles worth of tire rubber this weekend by just driving around there.

droptopsilvia, I would highly suggest going with a different setup. From my experience the WS's are horrible. There really isn't anything good about them. Plus APEXi's customer service sucks (from my experience). Also my screen name sucks.

Why aren't the WS coilovers very good? It seems like a great deal to me and seems better than just getting AGX & lowering springs.

I'm very curious since $850 is a nice price.

Why do new 240 kids always spell Silvia... Sylvia also? I don't understand that either. And the first thing they want to do is change all the emblems, and ask if there are altezza's for the 240. O.K. maybe... not but I hope these new kids on the block are kept in check.

It was a joke, the ricer thing anyways. if you want to get technical as far as im concerned if you drive a rice-burner, you're a ricer.....if you decorate your car with stupid things like stickers and a giant wing, you just have bad taste......and if you put euro tailights on a car not from europe, you're just retarded!

Actually, that is not a funny story at all. It scares me when people drive drunk. I used to, but it is definitly not worth it...from first hand experience and loss. You're story frightened and angered me. Not only did you put your life in danger, but also your friend's and other people's on the road...PLUS YOU WERE DRIFTING! (or attempting to). It's just a shame the cop didn't catch you.

WS's sucked for me because the dampers are not adjustable, and if you are gonna spend even 850, spend the extra for adjustability. The shocks in them stink, and you can't order replacement parts seperatly (such as just a shock, just a spring). The rear shocks blew out in 6 months, no drag strip, no track time, they just blew. The spring rates are too soft for a coilover. Finally Apexi's customer service is horrible.

This is all however, my sole experience with the product.

Please don't drink and drive anymore.

I didnt read the thread at all but I know that I tell my friends im going to get an SR20 or go KA-T (most likely KA-T). I have nowhere near the money or knowledge to do either but I AM going to. Its not like im gonna go down to Autozone with $100 and ask for them to do it. I know its thousands of dollars and its gonna be a long process. I have a 2 1/2 year plan worked out to get all the stuff i want to be content done. I tell my friends and they tell me stuff like that to keep each other accountable and on track. So none of us see some engine dress up kits on sale for $20 and buy it.

Getting a driver's license is exciting enough, so getting your own car is that much more exciting. Project cars, the sport of drifting, speed, distinction is the car world...who wouldnt get excited. This kind of excitement is only compounded with observing reading about it in today's media--movies, magazines, events, forums. With that said, young people have imagination, which god forbid, is impractical, immature and unrealistic. And talking about it just feeds the imagination.

Little do they know, it requires crazy amounts of money little more return than inner satisfaction, turning heads, and oohs and aahs. Almost all cases, 99.99999999999999%, have no profit or financial gain because in the end it is personal property, not real property. Cars will always depreciate. Modding a car is like modding a computer; sure itll make it cooler, faster, whatever, but in the end it is a financial loss. Get a clue, kids.

Yeah, I used to be one as well. Took me a while to get my priorities straight.

I'm 17 to...and when I got my 240(about 2 months ago) I had the 2k to buy a clip. But instead I went for suspension. Now im down to about 7-800 and all my income is going towards the clip. Unlike a friend of mine, who drives a beater w/ 177k miles, has no job, and less than 100 in the bank yet is convinced he will have 2k by xmas time and talks about all these cool mods he's going to do to his car.

im 18 but i worked my a$$ off to get all the stuff i have and i im willing to take the time and money and drive to a track to get out all the "spirited driving". Its much safer and and you get to do it with a bunch of people interested in the same thing as you.

I hope all new 240 owners try to drop a sr20 in as soon as they can. That means more cheap Ka's to go around for people who dont want to lose displacment on a swap and cant afford a rb. I hope they keep thinking the Ka is a terrible motor and has no potential for serious power

This popularity of the 240 is a reason I am thinking about getting something else. I am thinking about around a 94 Impreza. Something not as popular with the retards that have decided they want nissan instead of honda.
