Well I can see the Civic beating out the 240 for the simple fact that its sooooooooooo popular. Plus there's everything available for it at a cheap price. There's so many capabilities with that car.

Have to agree with Jeff on this. Makes sence really. The S13 only started gaining popularity in the states a few years ago.

Hmm... this is quite interesting. I'll go get it after work. Is the SE-R on there? (SE's/SE-L's are better! Lol, whatever)

H22A, B20, B16x, B18x, D15, and all manner of hybrids.

RB series, SR, CA, KA.

Yeah, the EG has a lot better/more supported swap base. Also, the EG is lighter, handles great (yes folks, handling is good in FF if you are not trying to drift), and looks bad ***. The S13 is an economy car chassis same as the EG. Personally, I would LOVE an EG hatch, but they are sooooo damn overdone IMHO.

I don't care what Civic it is,EK,EG,etc... I hate civics and they can all bite me! The civic is only a fuel economy car that belongs in the hands of old ppl. I quote somesone sig. I just don't remember who's. If speed kills, buy a Honda, live forever. And the SCC can burn in hell!:angryfire

Popularity kinda factors in. As does how well the car is known around the sport compact world. Injustice is abound.

My car will keep up with a brand-new Si and handle with a WRX all day long, stock. (It won't win, but it won't lose too badly, if at all.) I'd venture to say that the 98-99 SE-Ls and the 00-01 SEs are some of the most underestimated cars, ever. There's a reason the same magazine put the Sentra SE as one of their Eight Great Rides in 2001 along with the WRX, ITR, Miata, and GTI 1.8T.

edit: Not to mention that while *stock* the SE puts down (according to the dyno) roughly 10 fewer whp and 15 fewer wtq than an SE-R/Spec V, it also weighs 70ish (60 for base SE-R) lbs less, is less front heavy, has a stock limited slip (base SE-R does not), and tighter springs (than a base SE-R)... oh, and a real shifter, none of that cable ****.

my freinds H22 powered eg runs 12.6. on street tires, street gas, full interior, some bolt on's and still gets great gas mileage. i think thats a killer combination no matter what. and all of it cost less than $5 grand.

Yea I have no problem with Civics. They arent Id love one with a B18 swap as a second project car. You may have beaten many Civics, but its obvious that they were probably lightly modded. A Civic/Integra in the right hands=A lot of trouble for little $$$. I dont care how much you hate them. Facts are facts.

Interesting that they excluded all porsche's, and chose an A4 over an S4. I wouldn't put much faith their list as it's purely subjective, but I'm gratified to see my 350z rank up there.I like many of the cars on the list, (though one or more of the writers obviously owned a Dodge Omni)

haha, I feel the list is kinda lame anyway....

I dunno if the VIII should be the top dog, but then again I've never driven one...

the omni has it's place I feel because the cars Chrysler released got this country ready for turbo charged cars without giving up college for their kids:D

haha, oh wait, I forgot about the Corvair...

And that sti makeover article was absolutely ridiculous.

Who in their right mind would ruin perfectly new factory blue paint by spraypainting it flat black?? I was amazed by the stupidity in their articles. They try to be funny and stuff, but they just sound like jackasses. It makes me rethink whether I want to renew my subscription(I probably will... but still)......

No.

And excuse that first post. I just realized that Jay already made a post on his achievement in 240 gen. I didn't see his thread before I had already made that reply.
