Quote »The magazine is kind of a sellout, with regards to the structure of the articles and the content. Many of the articles are all about selling cars and products. Have you noticed that at the end of every article, they have an index of where they purchased all of the parts from?[/quote]thats because someone who reads the article might want to go out and buy the parts- SCC gets a discount on what they buy, and that place gets a little PR. That doesnt really hurt the integrity of the project, they still build cars that I like and want.

I got the new issue. The top 100 list wasn't that bad, considering how many "sport compacts" exist. BTW, DId anyone bother reading the Chris Rado article? If we want to talk about the bandwagon, his name should be mentioned. And he calls it"business"...

What's the big deal about the whole "bandwagon" thing? When a motorsport, or anything really, becomes popular and attracts new fans and drivers that's a good thing, IMO.

So, anyone who starts drifting from this point forward is going to be jumping on the "bandwagon"? Should there be no new talent in drifting? Should we watch the same people drift over and over for the next decade?

It's good that more people are becoming interesting in drifting and I don't have a problem with someone from another motorsport taking up drifting.

Mostly Rado's columns are entertaining because they piss people off. That keeps me interested. :D

I guess he was trying to say that they're all similar in editorial style? Out of all the mags from Primedia, SCC is the only tolerable read. The rest are usually so kiddie-like.

Well the show scene always interested me. So thats why SS and IT are on the list. I dont care what any1 says, I probably always have a soft spot for show cars. The only difference is that Ill actually drive mine.

WHO gives a FART if the 240sx is # 49.

how i see it is that by making the 240sx #49 that keeps the 240 on the Down low from the idiots that take the magazine seriously.

I like SCC, GRM, and I'm probably gonna subscribe to Car and Driver and Automobile. Personally, I like SCC. It's not exactly profound reading, but it's fun stuff.

The VW Golf with the Cadillac Northstar V8 swap in the latest issue was crazy...you've got to respect that. I would've never dreamed up that combination in a million years. SCC usually has some good Nissan content too. There was an article a few months back with tons of pictures of vintage Nissan/Datsun cars....kick ***.

This month they had that pictorial of classic Toyotas, I was drooling.

If I could afford the motor, my next project would be an RA21 chassis Celica (1st-gen) with a 4th-gen BEAMS 3S-GE and 6 speed (2000+ Altezza drivetrain). If only...

I liked their projectZ.

They said they were gonna add various mods to include SC step-by-step so we can follow along with the effect they have.

Fred..:)
