Hey Guys, fiznat is right we have 5 people in with their deposits now. If we can get another 5 the price drops again for everybody which is a good thing.

I just want to publicly thank fiznat for arranging this and NICO for allowing it to continue on their board, even though we are not "currently" an advertiser. We are a small company and are trying to help out a market that seems to be over looked so thanks to everybody for pitching in, we REALLY appreciate it.

If anybody has any direct questions for me re. the manifold you can email me at [email protected], otherwise it looks like fiznat has it all taken care of.

Thanks guys!

Sorry but I'm gonna have to drop out of the group buy. I found an IAP manifold for a little less. This group buy is a great deal though and I hope other people jump on ship!

Still never answered my question... is this for the KA-D or the KA-E? I have an SOHC and if it's for either, I'm in have money and NEED an SOHC manifold. If not, I'm not in.

I KNOW it fits the DOHC, but I am not so sure about the SOHC. I will call Jim tomorrow, but I suspect that it will only fit the 91+ KAs...

Just for info for everybody we have a new process were performing on the manifolds as a result of our R&D. Just so happens this change comes in the middle of this group buy. However this is a good thing so it will benefit everybody here.

Our previous process of welding the runners to the flange caused the odd manifold to be warped, sometimes we could not tell. We always use 1/2" steel to help fight warping during welding. Some manifolds were out a little bit and it would take a few heat cycles and tightening them down an extra time about a week later before they would completely seal properly. The turbo flange is small and welded all the way around evenly so it never warps on us.

Due to some people being concerned with this, though small in our opinion, we have decided to upgrade our processes. All manifolds will now have the manifold flange machined so they are flat to ensure a perfect seal every time. This is great, but you may be wondering why I'm making a post about this. Well when you get your manifold and have a look at your flange and notice that it's not 1/2" thick, please don't think were lying to you!

Using more heat allows us to get a much better penetrating weld on the manifold but warps the flanges a lot more. This is not an issue anymore because we will be machining them all. Basically the manifold flange will probably end up around 3/8” thick after the machining process which is only slightly thinner than 1/2". The wastegate and turbo flanges will likely only need a very light skim so should still be 1/2”. Basically this is a pretty minor thing, but in the interest of full disclosure I thought I would let everybody know they are getting something extra for no extra cost! Basically I just want everybody to know exactly what they are getting as we prefer to be upfront and honest in everything we do.Now lets drink… :bearchug

Wow that's real nice of you guys to do that... :ylsuper

Is the flange seperated for each exhuast port? I looked at the pictures and it didn't seem like it. A lot of people are concerned about manifolds cracking because of heat expansion and not allowing slack to take up space.

Cutting the flange at each port or releif cuts as some guys call it does not help in our opinion. We have yet to have one crack due to the way we build them and many of our customers race their cars pretty hardcore.

We will releif cut them but only because somebody is insisting that we do it, not because we think it helps. If you want me to weld a little statue of elvis on the manifold I'll do it to make you happy.
