Hey AZHitman, I'm rockin' the Xcessive Intake manifold on the KA-T I'm rebuilding now and was wondering if you had any problems with it clearing the hood. I hate having to cut the supports on the hood just for the fact that they are designed to react a certain way during a front impact accident.

Looking good

Yep - They SWEAR it clears the hood on their car, and that it was designed fine, but that's hogwash.

I went through tearing up a pristine hood so that you don't have to.

My solution? Made my own motor mounts, lowered the whole engine. See my article on 240sxTech.com.

Love the manifold, hate the fitment.

easiest way is to use photobucket.com or something like it.

You can upload pics there and then copy the image tag and just past it here...

Xcessive says it clears the hood on the s14. Did they modify their website statement after learning of your s13 hood clearance issue? Did you chrome your intake or just shine it up? And is that chrome with black lettering on your valve cover? That looks amazing!I'm still dealing with a few issues on my car, but I'll have my pics up here soon (and hopefully a dyno will follow shortly!).

Not sure what they did on their site...

Intake is polished (took me over 16 hours), valve cover is polished as well - Thanks!

for real, fan shroud is crucial, i dont want your **** to overheat that would suck. It can only take one time and thats it for the engine. Just lookin out fo a brotha ya heard?

Here is my engine bay, still not as clean as I want it, but I daily drove her for 5 years in chicago weather (well mainly winter that f*ucked a bunch of s*it up), but now she sits pretty in the garage awaiting the warm spring weather for some more work. Sorry the pics aren't that close up, but good enough.
