looking at geting a 93 coupe for 300$. Has any one any experiece in doing a ka24e to ka24de swap. The motor is blown and would need to be rebuilt. The car has 223,000 miles on it. Can any one find a link for me that has a step by step how to? The coupe will have a fiberglass front clip. It will be a bmw front end. He is going home for a few months so hopfully he will keep the car. he is going through rough times right now and is selling his house and every thing else. His orginal home is in argintina(cant spell). I told him he could leave it with me. the only thing is when he gets back the rear tires will be bald.

I will be happy if mine looks half that good when I go boost. I know you aren't done, but your attention to detail is amazing, and I would be surprised to find out I could eat off of your motor when you are done, if not for the fact that you would never let that happen.

quick question. i seen you guys use engine degreaser to remove dirt an grime. Now do you power wash the engine clean? I would figure you do so, but it doesnt sound like a good idea with all the electrical things under the hood. thanks

nope i did it all with sand paper, and then hit with a polishing wheel on a drill with polishing compounds. took 5 hours but it was worth it.

Looking good j-z.

You should try find yourself (8) 130-140cc injectors, install 4 in the oem location and the other 4 in the gsxr mounts, split the wires. The ecu drivers can handle it and you could still keep all of your oem goods.

wow. i would love to see a staged injector system on a road-driven 240. something to aspire to, for sure.

Something like I mentioned wouldnt really be staged, I am still trying to figure out how to do something like that with a nissan ecu (using like a v8 nissan computer). Or spliting control of the 4 sequential drivers and turning into a staged batch injection, which would be neat as well.

But, it would definately be an interesting and worthwhile venture having same pulsewidth to both on the runner, "pseudo-carb"

Once MS gets the router board finished i will be running staged sequential on mine. I cant wait for that shiz I want it now!

Here is my contribution:

(Damn leaf falling on the intake pipe...)

It will be undergoing MANY changes in the next 6 mo. Lots of older bits being replaced and unneeded parts removed. I plan to go MegaSquirt when I turbo the KA so I'll be running up my own harness as well which will be tastefully tucked away.

Here's mine, I just finished these past few days. I know it's not the cleanest, but I definately took pride in it.

Thank you bro... I clean, sanded, cleaned, primed a few coats and sprayed it. All in all, the hardest part was cleaning it before sanding and after sanding it down. I've actually had a lot of fun cleaning and making the engine bay look nice. Turbo installation took me about 3 weeks to complete, and glad to say there are no oil leaks. =)

This is an older pic, so I have a lot of new goodies under the hood now. This was after about 20 minutes of cleaning...not too bad imo. I'm gonna give a better cleaning soon!
