I guess no one on here likes the 240. I'm not trying to impress anyone but myself. I just wanted an opinion to which model looks the best after modification. I live in maryland and here there aren't as many 240 's running around as there are civics. Some of the 240's i've seen on sites are really nice when modded. I like to buy the cars nobody else wants and hook them up. I admire anyone who can take a car thats junk and make it into something awsome. Anyone can take a sports car and make it go fast but a person that takes thier moms or sisters car and make it kick dads or big brothers muscle car is a true builder.

Thanks everybody for your opinions. I think the z32 is by far the best Z car that nissan has ever made.

First off, what do you mean by modded? I can guarantee you that you will turn heads if you make a clean s13 with an ls1 and big cams. There are few things in this world that would turn more heads than a clean import making american V8 sounds. The two just don't usually go together and it works in your favor.

Or take a clean classic muscle car and put a sweet JDM motorswap in it.

I don't think I've EVER seen anything like that before!

I love my 240, but they aren't expensive or classy cars, not really for turning heads.

How often are you on the street as you drive by?

Thats not really the 240... its the latest civic...

buying a bunch of prefabricated aftermarket parts doesn't really make you a "true builder"

I unabashedly love Miatas. The FC is pretty good, too. Not as good as a Miata, though.

Some people watch too many TV shows where they "build" cars.

bentandbuzzin, You'll actually find most here like the 240sx a lot. It was a sleek attractive sporty coupe in it's day. But I think you might have it backwards. The main weakness to the 240 was it's lack of power, not it's looks. If you're going to put money into one, a majority of enthusiasts would be thinking about adding power and improving brakes, not to ruin what is already a sexy looking car by adding body work to it. That might explain the less than enthusiastic response.

True, but a Miata with a 13b is better than a stock Miata.

And a Miata with a turbocharge BP engine (the stock one) is "better" than a 13B Miata...

There's a reason 13B swaps into Miata's aren't popular.

I Know the 240 had a crappy engine. This would be the first thing i would trash and replace with a built jdm engine. As for looks...i don't like all those outragouse body kits that makes cars look like space ships or fighter planes. I like it when the car is clean with its original body maybe some minor added to it just to give it that finishing touch. Some people go way overboard with the exterior.

Mellow S13 that is what i'm talking about. If i saw that Datsun coming down the road that would turn my head. That is what i meant when i said turn heads. No way am i saying that the 240 is the best looking car out there because its not. Maybe i should've worded it different. That Z car would turn my head because its something from back then and it looks like it has alot of work put into it. Not something purchased off the new car lot and a few weeks of time put into it. I guess i just like old school imports. But anyway i would love to have that DATSUN!
