During most of those cars, I had the 92 Accord as my daily driver gas mileage car. When I bought the Daytona, I traded it in. Then, got relocated to St Louis. I lAnd with now working in St Louis, ost one of the main reasons for buying the Charger, I wanted to be able to lug around 2-3 clients to lunch, in style. But with driving to StL, and not doing that part of my job anymore. I was able to save almost $800 a month by selling the Charger and buying the Versa.

Heck, now I dont even have that job anymore, but still work in St Louis, at a custom auto shop. So now im making a little more money, combined with saving almost $800 a month. Im getting close to 100% debt free, and also putting back a decent percentage back towards buying a C5 this winter. Once I have the new C5, that monthly savings will be diverted over to a wedding/honeymoon account, that needs to grow as much as possible before June 2009.

My day to day vehicle was a 04 Nissan Titan which I still have and use for towing/hauling now, it's got almost 70,000 miles and no problems.

Knew about the Versa before official announcement and decided would be nice to have something that is easy to drive in bumper to bumper traffic easy to find a parking place have lots of room for my mountain bike or anything else and still fun to drive and as much millage as I put on a car and gas prices being what they are the gas millage would be another plus.

I have other cars but they are more for fun and to take to the track and play don't like driving them in the City unless going on long trips especially up the coast.

I drove a 2000 GMC Jimmy. It was starting to nickel and dime us, and we wanted something that got better MPG. Also, we had to trade it while it was still worth something. Car dealers won't hardly trade for SUV's any more, even in rural America where we have dirt roads.

Prior to buying the Versa, I owned a 2004 Nissan Frontier XE, 2WD, super black. I bought the truck in early 2005 with 9,000 miles on it. Man, that was a beautiful truck! I undercoated it, painted the brake calipers and drums orange, and kept her as clean as the day she was built. I also painted the valve cover red, and air intake tube charcoal grey. She was a great truck for the 40,000 miles I owned her for, but when I changed jobs (I'm on the road all the time) I needed something with better fuel milage and more toys. I also needed something that I could drive in a foot of snow without getting stuck. I drove to the nearest Nissan dealer to look at the new Versas, and bought the only SL they had. The car had everything I wanted (and nothing I didn't), and I even liked the Metallig Grey color. This car also has the factory floor mats, splash guards, door sill plates, and wheel locks. My truck is still sitting on their lot after almost three months.

I started out with a '90 Ford Probe GT, red with black interior and striping... very mean (had a turbo charger which liked to engage at odd times, like while breaking...) I replaced my Probe with a '93 Subaru Loyale (didn't think I could go wrong with something named a Loyale...) and I loved my little Loyale (it was brown... and my first RAF project car) so when it finally blew up I decided to buy a '95 Suzuki Sidekick convertible (basically because it was a 4-seater X-90) and I had a lot of fun with it. I sold it with less than 120K on it (though the breaks and the transmission had significantly less miles) because I had a daughter and my husband decided he would take our '99 Suzuki Vitara convertible with him when he left...

So I was in the car market... and I saw the Versa and fell in love with it... It was stylish (for a EuroBiscuit) and all techy, plus it was mondo on the leg room (which is a big thing for me) and it felt right... The only complaint I have about my Versa is the forward tilted headrests... I like to sit straight up and it hurts my neck...

I used to have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that was modded pretty well. Would run low 13s high 12s @ 105-110 mph traps on street tires.

Until a Pick-up truck decided to make a left turn into my driver-side door while I had the right-of-way going through an intersection!

Totalled the car.

So, I ended up getting the Versa since I wanted something better on gas and more daily driver friendly.

I sure miss it though, cause the Versa just doesn't have the straight line peformance my GTP had. Maybe fast in Autocrossing though....

2003 Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser Series II in Tangerine Pearl. Turbocharged with a 5 speed manual Getrag transmission. What a BLAST! That puppy ran 15.0 seconds @ 94+ mph at the dragstrip. I had ZERO problems with the car in 4 years and the interior versatility of the PT Cruiser is unbeatable in this class of vehicle. If the lease buyout price bore any resemblance to the actual market realities of today, I would have bought it out in a heartbeat. Alas, on the open market I could buy a 2006 model with less miles for virtually the same money as my buyout price so I walked away.

I've driven PT Cruisers since they first came out so it was time for a change. Although the Versa can't match the interior versatility of the PT, it is surprisingly similar in passenger comfort, ease of entry/exit, etc. I'm getting older and a little less functionality is a GOOD thing. I couldn't list the amount of crap I moved inside that PT, mostly for OTHER people. It was almost like the guy with a pickup or a minivan. Everybody expects that your vehicle somehow belongs to them. Haven't they ever heard of rental companies? After awhile, lifting seats in and out to open up that cavernous interior begins to wear thin.

Other strong points of the Versa are the CVT and its very quiet demeanour, especially on the highway. 2,500 rpms at 75 mph is unheard of in a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder and keeps the engine well out of the typical 4 cylinder DRONE mode which usually occurs in the 3,000 rpm range. While gas mileage is definitely better than the Turbo PT, there is not as much of a difference as I had anticipated, especially considering the vehicle is over 500 pounds lighter. It's pretty new yet and I haven't had a chance to take it on a long highway tour but will get that opportunity in a couple weeks. I'm a bit anal about fuel economy and actually log the fuel receipts and miles travelled into an Excel spreadsheet. I'm not one who judges fuel economy by how fast the gauge moves. I prefer emperical data. While the Versa can't match the ROCK SOLID stability of the PT in crosswinds, it is never-the-less a far cry better than the horrible Toyota Corolla which blows all over the place. That was the most fatiguing car we ever had the "unpleasure" of driving on the highway.

When it gets right down to it, VALUE and comfort had a lot to do with our decision to select a Versa. Gotta love those PADDED armrests and the high end stereo with Bluetooth rocks.

Up until late January, I drove a white 1992 Nissan Maxima GXE fully loaded with black leather. I had it going on six years. I was only the second owner and it had just shy of 185,000 miles on it, but it still ran just like it was right out of the showroom. The car was in nearly perfect condition... I had a hard time keeping it that way because as careful as I was with it, it always seemed something happened. A guy ran a red light and took off the front bumper, a girl backed into it after pulling in too closely in the space beside me, and another girl backed her SUV into it. I got all of those fixed, save for the last one which I did the best I could do touch up myself. After all that, I was on my way back from DC down I-95 when one of my tires exploded like a bomb went off inside it. The steel belts ripped up the side of the car pretty badly. Fixed that too. Anyway, bad luck I guess. The worst of which came when for the first time, I was at fault. I ran into the back of someone and because of the extensive front end damage and the car's age, it was deemed a total loss. It was a heartbreaking time for me and I definitely still miss it. Not car will ever replace it, but my Versa is definitely becoming a part of me more and more every day. I still keep my Maxima key on the same chain with the Versa keyfob and I keep the registrations and insurance cards together in my glovebox.

I'm still driving my 02 VW Beetle until the Versa I ordered comes in. I'm gonna miss my bug :-( I've already taken my aftermarket spoiler off, my kick *** stereo out.... all I have left on it are my rims which are being traded in with the car. But my new Versa is coming with aftermarket rims... so it'll be sylin when I get it, hehe.

My 1st new car was a black '97 Cavalier Z24 5sp. What a mistake that was! I can relate to some of the earlier Cavalier owners. So many small defects, but it was my 1st so I didn't know any better at the time.

We then got a new blue '02 Mazda Protege5 auto. No complaints about this one. We missed it after we traded it in for a blue '05 Subaru Forester X SE auto, but we still have the Forester. It's been useful especially with a new baby. I can't say it enough what a relief it is owning a car without having to deal with all the small problems that I had with the Z24. Great job Nissan! We're keeping this one for a while.

I drive about 180 miles a day round trip to work.....and I had enough so I decided to trade it in.....looked at the Yaris, Fit, XA and the Versa......for the money the V won hands down......and I Love the quietness of the V

Ya know....kinda funny how I wound up with a Versa (no complaints though).

I was deployed to Afghanistan, and decided I wanted a motorcycle. The wife bought me one through USAA (2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 inBLACK ), but when I got back (because we are moving cross country with hounds), she decided she wanted something a little bigger than our 2003 Elantra (which was a GREAT car). We traded it in on a 2005 Mitsu Endeavor, and quickly regretted it. Unable to afford it's gas mileage or insurance, we traded it out for my wife's Jetta. Now, I am stuck in frozen hell with a motorcycle and my wife's deceased 1994 Cutlass Supreme. Because the Elantra was originally mine, and we are moving cross country, we traded in the bike and the cutlass on the Versa (which is SOLELY mine)

Everything worked out, but the Jetta has a huge blindspot and I'm not comfortable driving an automatic (it's emasculating)

I was driving an 01 Hyundai Accent, no AC, No power anything, not fun to drive. The car still sits in the street until i am motivated to get it ready to sell.

Since i commute almost a hundred miles a day, i figured i deserved a new car. A friend of mine works in finance at the Nissan dealer and i got a killer deal.

I was totally sold on a Corolla UNTIL i drove the versa, so i bought it.

I am very happy with my Versa.

Used to drive a 2003 Dodge SRT-4 (Neon with 2.4L engine and Turbo).

Loved that car. Really never had problems with it and I drove it like I stole it and took it to the track many times.

The biggest problem was gas. Car was getting terrible mileage and with 74K miles on it and no warranty, it was a good idea for me to get a new car.

Fell in love with the Versa from the first time I test drove one and now I have one!

'05 WRX wagon, with a fair amount of mods (EM, VF34 turbo, bigger IC, bigger injectors, full exhaust etc etc). Unfortunately I didn't have time to properly enjoy it with my current job and a new addition to the family, so sold it and picked up the Versa for an inexpensive gas miser commuter.

Nice Subaru! I was reading in an international newspaper that Subaru came out with a new model, a hatchback, can't remember the model.

Well, I use to drive a Celica ST 1996, it looks like hell. Paint pilled and dings everywhere. I still have it and I enjoy driving it but the AC is dead. What I like about that car is how low it is, very good on fast turns. I had to readjust how I drive the V, mostly when I make a turn. I am happy with it!

I would like to paint the Celica, anyone has any idea of how much it could cost?

I drove a 97 Nissan P/U. Dented bed, bent axle, partially painted dash board, lowered, hole in the flowmasters, blower motor had gone. Got $1700 for the trade in. Love the versa.

The truck served it's purpose and I drove it like I was it was off-road vehicle.

I traded in my 97 VW Jetta for my Versa because I have a long commute to work and couldn't handle Chicago rush hour with a stick-shift car. That, and it had 201,900 miles on it and the clutch was going out, along with many other little things.

I don't own a Versa, but I play one on TV... Actually, I'm going to need a 4-door and the Versa is high on the list.

I'm currently driving either an 03 Mini Cooper, 01 Suzuki SV650, 99 Acura Integra GSR. I traded an 02 WRX to get the Mini (used). Along with the GSR, I've owned a 97 Miata, 75 BMW 2002, and 99 Kawi Z-Rex 11. Before the GSR, I had a 95 VW Golf Sport, 88 Merkur Scorpio, 93 Honda CBR-F2, 94 Chevy S-10, 89 Yam FZR400, 91 Honda Civic Si, 88 CRX Si, 86 CRX Si, 71 VW Super Beetle, 67 Ford Falcon, 73 Mazda RX-2.

The Versa would replace the Mini. (The GSR is too versatile to get rid of just yet.)

Traded a '03 Sentra for the Versa.

Sentra had about 30k on it driven, and about 20k towed behind the motor home, and had two incidents with drunken drivers while parked at my home. First when it was about two month old hit the rear doing almost 8k in damage, the second in the front doing about 6k. The hit in front would have totalled it, but the towing base plate took most of the brunt.

So far, have about 10k on the Versa driven with about 5k towed and it gets parked well off the street to keep it out of the drunks way.

The V is my wife's daily driver, I drive a '06 FX35AWD and the '05 Winnebago.

NICE. One of my favorite bodystyles of all time. They were pretty basic little cars (and tiny, too) but I love them.

Since I'm posting, I might as well add my list...even though I don't have a Versa.

My last car (was a 2nd car, still had the Maxima as well) was a '95 Ranger base (not even XL) 2wd regular cab 5 speed. I liked the 2.3 and the 5 speed, I didn't like the Ford electronic issues and goofy heater controls (which Ford still uses to this day for whatever idiot reason).

Before that was my 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille (my first car). Yellow (non-vinyl top) Fleetwood package. Even though it was gutless (4.1 V8) I LOVED that car. It was comfortable, drove nice, had tons of features that a lot of new cars still don't have, and looked great. It also had a trunk big enough for a LOT of dead hookers...I mean junk. Sadly, even though it only had 40,000 miles on it (in 2001) the torque converter gave up the ghost and at 16 I couldn't afford to fix it. I still miss that car to this day...

There's a good story that goes with the Falcon. It was a Futura with 4-doors, 289 and C4 trans. It was purchased in 85 for $1200. It drove real nice and had tons of power. Some people would laugh at me. I could tell from seeing their faces in my rear view mirror. So, I had an accident with it. The insurance totaled it for $1000. We bought it back for $400 and spent $200 to get it back on the road. I gave it to my sister when I got the VW SB. She had 2 accidents with it and each time it was totaled and repurchased. In the end, it actually made money for us. It was a tank. It seemed like nothing could stop it. My sister finally got a hole in the radiator and decided not to fix it. It was a cool car, even though it was kinda beat up from it's years of service.

The car I replaced with my V (because it got totaled was a 1991 Toyota Celica. I got the Celica for 200 bucks and it was a great car for going to work. I was looking for an excuse to buy a new car and a Subaru wagon pulling out in front of me in the rain while I was going 45 ended up being a good excuse. I was torn between a Yaris and a Corolla until I checked out the Versa. After watching the crash tests I am sure glad I didn't get a Yaris. I also almost got a Corrola but I really like driving the Versa better. I still like the exterior of the Corolla S better than my V but I figure that I see the inside more so it was a no brainer.

My first car was a '90 Chevy Blazer. Beat to hell by it's previous owner, but it served me well for about a year until some 70 y/o women hit me and bent my front axle. I miss it

My second was an '02 Dodge Neon, good little car, nothing too wrong ever happened to it, traded it in to get my V. Only have 50k on it but it had pretty bad body damage on the passenger side rear quarter panel so I didn't get a good price on the trade-in.
