RX7's and supras are so played out tho!damn, be original people... everyone would choose those 2 cars... if everyone had this choice in real life, there would be 40,000,000 people driving the exact same cars around.at least mine would be different! take THAT conformity!

Kick-a$$!!!

Well, I HAVE met several of the people here (kickass KY!), I have owned many cars that I never thought I would own, and it's just a matter of time before I get the 40k. I'm still coming down to Phoenix though! HELLO LADIES!!! :ylsuper

I'm just playin' about the Supra. I know batmobiles and such can hang with it. I'm serious about the fart though. If I could bottle that, hell, I'd have more octane than I could ever need!

I have found a '96 Collector Edition Corvette with the LT4 locally. It has 40k mi and is only 20g's. Hmmm, I think maybe I'll go look at it tomorrow. Now, if I can just talk the wife into it!

300ZX TT, but since no Nissans,

90'-94' - Lotus Esprit V8 TT, then the following

Audi RS4, BMW M3, BMW M Z3, or a last gen rx-7 or Supra (I know they are REALLY played out, very nice rides though!)

OOoo... $40k

i have to agree with s14pimp, i love the Lotus Esprit turbo

but i would probably rather get a whole bunch of 80's gen sports cars and restore/modify them, than spend all of it on just one

5th gen Toyota Celica All Trac turbo (4th gen body is nice too)Mk2 Supra turbo or Mk3 Supra turbo (sure they burn oil, but when you got $$....)2nd gen Mr2 Turbo OR 1st gen Mr2 Supercharged, hell, why not both :)FC3S RX-7 TurboAE86 *drool*80's gen Porsche 944 or 911, OR 928To turn a Mazda Protege (1st gen) into a turbo Familia (jdm engine swap from corksport.com :evilhaha ultimate sleeper!)E36 M3, ac schitzner body kit (probably can't afford it at this point)Audi GT (?) (the big chubby hatchback from the 80's)VW Scirocco or Corrado vr6VW Golf vr6 or gti *shrug*Audi S4 (not the latest gen, the one before that)

thats about it... almost in order of cost... :D

"90'-94' - Lotus Esprit V8 TT, then the following"

are you sure the v8 was available in 90-94? i dont think it was , but the hci turbo 4cyl was, but nice taste , very few lotus buffs around here , to bad the 1990's elan s2 was labeld as a girl car , that turbo isuzu powerpant and the incredible front drive chassis made for a perfect autocross car ...

yah i think ill change mine to 1991 lotus esprit forgot all about that one

so it should read now

1989 corvette ZR1 1992 lotus esprit2001 vette fixed roof 1970s porsche 914/61990 counselier (2.2 turbo mid engine sports car )2003 GMC Sierra 3500 8.1 or 6.6 deisel and 6 speed (tow vehicle)1991 454ss tow vehicle with a 20b (3 rotor) powered miata behind it

Datsun 510 fully restored, with some kind of swap...I'd put a hefty down payment on an M3 CSi (not available in the US)But if you want straight up pimpin luxury...some new caddy (not the CTS, bigger), or maybe a Jag 4.0 S-Type.

Maine: I met some kid from South Jersey who had an old Land Cruiser that he used for offroading...it had a 350 in it and was lifted and everything...my friend said he has yet to be in a more capable off-roader.

Hey Stoney - you ran out of $$ the third car down... What's up with that?

That '03 Sierra would cost you the whole $40K, but it's GOTTA be worth it...

Ohhh man, I will never get used to that "4 wheel steering" garbage.... it looks so stupid...I do wonder how it works though, and what it feels like to drive. Kind of an intriguing thing once you give it a second thought.

hey stoney, I do believe the esprit was offered in v8 TT up here, in 91 through to 94, those were the ones I was looking into, but they might be v6, not 100% certain. The lotus has ALWAYS been my dream car. The only car I think that can justify an orange paint job, without looking like a rice cooker! Something unique and exotic, ever stood next to one? You gotta lie down in that thing. Glad to see sky picked up on that one as well, the poor Lotus always gets over looked. Thats my ride, bar none, and they are relatively cheap, considering what you are getting. Very rare, and look damn sexy!! Do you have a pick of the lotus you deem a chick ride? NO lotus is a chick ride, IMO, but I'd like to see a pic, if available. Would love to take an esprit on an autoX course!!!

The lotus elise is another fave of mine. If I ever have a daughter, I'm going to name her elise (no joke, really). Not after the car though, just like that name (ok, I'll shut up now).

Name that princess Penisina or Cumella. Those are beautiful names for your little girl, just like Granny. Somewhat prophetic even.

I think i want to drop the corvette I mentioned and get an Acura NSX (92-94). I just passed one on the interstate and liked the styling. I guess I'd try to find a 3.6 liter with 290 instead of the 3.0 liter. Why are these cars so expensive. I know nothing about it save for the engine size and horses (had a talk at a redlight with an owner once). I know it is a six-speed and mid-engine. Anyone ever drive one?

ah, the lotus is a fine car, there are so rare a sight, the Esprit is just beastly

and no offense to any Mitsu lovers, but i think the Eclipse is definitely a chick's car, i don't see many guys driving them, just driving the gsx's or gs-t's. i give props to any chick that drives a rwd-manual car though.

as for the NSX 91-94, i believe it's a dohc-vtec (the first car to have it, 2nd was the 4th gen 'Lude) v6 mid-engine, i think it has 250hp or 275, something like that. A beautiful car. Would be better if it was turbo though. MWAHAHAHA. :evilhaha

Espirit -- that's and excellant carNSX -- I take a newer one over an older one, although they are more luxury than anything now

BTW nice to see everyone again.

I have brotha. My good friend owns Bell Acura in N. Phoenix. The NSX has all aluminum bodywork, so insurance is a beee-yotch. It's midengine (duh) so it's more difficult to work on (in some regards) plus it has that whole "exotic" flavor to it.

However, when you drive it, you realize this is NOT a Aston Martin Vantage or a Murcielago... It feels and drives like a Civic when putting around town. Great clutch, great gearbox, no surprises, just a different seating position. It's when you get ON it that it gets fun. Great balance, great handling, and an EASY car to drive hard.

My wife drove it, and the fastest car she had EVER driven before was my 94 Civic Si. She never missed a shift and was actually very comfortable slinging it around. It TELLS you when you're pushing it too hard...

Opinion: Underrated car - There's one in my area for sale with 46K for $29G.
