Today I installed my wheels on my 93 vert (5 speed),fixed my battery terminals because the guy before me only knew how to operate a hack-saw and molested my poor vert, and for my coupe, I bolted on my motor mounts and alt bracket and misc other motor parts. Future ka24de-t. :naughty:

I didn't have dry ice when I did mine. There is a little bit left on the rear wheel wells, but I have some dry ice now!

gas tank issue revisited. got it up in the air and loosened the driver side strap. pebbles were embedded in the rubber piece that runs between the strap and the tank, which id assume caused the leak :tisk: so i cut out the ruined portion of the rubber piece, got some plumbing repair rubber sheet stuff from lowes and used that as a substitute. then jb welded the hell out of the little crack. hopefully it holds!

f*** pebbles

Installed my 550cc injectors. Pretty easy straightforward install.

Unplugged the fuel pump and started the car till the pressure was down.

Image

Take the covers off then I use vise grips. You can even use a napkin or paper towel or cloth to cover the plastic. Pull straight back don't twist them out. I know it feels like the right thing to do and have done a lot of research on taking injectors out. Even as far as putting them in the oven but I really don't want my house smelling like gas or have an explosion. lol.

Image

Voila!!!

Image

Now for the new injector. Set it in there don't hammer or push it in there. Get your injector cover with the bolts and tighten them going back and forth between them as shown below. Make sure when they are getting tight they are seating properly. Look at your other injectors for reference.

Repeat the above process for each one. Plug fuel pump back in. Turn key but don't start it immediately. Listen for the hiss in the front and wait till fuel pump kicks off in the back. Make sure that hiss isn't fuel pissing out too. No problems started right up but you get the idea.

Peace.

True I drove my Coupe Friday, that was the first time in like a month. Vert still hasn't been out in like 2 months.

Did build some DIY car ramps out of 2x6 and 1x6, to get the cars off the ground enough to get a jack under them.
