Okie dokes. When I pulled the plugs, I could smell fuel. I'll check out the timing, starter, do a compression test (on a cold engine ), and make sure that the coil packs are not bad. I'll also check the readings on the CAS. Till this weekend then .

Nope. I'm going to clean everything out and do a clean new start. Thanks though.

. Test and Tunez is this Wednesday. Are you going to be there? I might head down with a few friends. Hopefully my midterm won't interfere with the time.

What mods do you have btw? Also, do you have any previous times?

Well, I just got a Greddy Emanage with the support tool for 160$. I also got a Z32 MAF for 90$, Walbro Fuel Pump for 60$, and RX-7 550CC Injectors for 75$. Not including the Emanage, I'm up to 225$, giving me 225$ to spend on the turbo... I'll bet any local guys that this is going to be a 12 second car... .

Well, this quest has come tumbling down . Long story, but in the end, I came out with lots of money (dealing with my parents not being able to keep their end of the promise). I decided to strip everything down on the 240, make a quick profit, and change the car back into it's stock form with just an RB20 in it. I'll be driving it till it explodes. Until then, I'll be trying to hit a mid 13's with the stock motor at 12 lbs.

Also, sorry to rb20detsilvia. I'm not picking up any of the parts anymore (except for the fuel pump since it was already shipped ) but I'm going to be retaining a stock form. If I change my mind though, I'll definately let you know first. Thanks for all of the input.

Btw, did anyone go to Test and Tunez? I saw about 4 240's there..., too bad all of them had that weak SR20 motor... ( ).

Very easy task to do mid 13's with just exhaust, filter and 12psi

The SR20 thing was a joke . Am I safe to come out yet ? Anyways, I'll be checking the car out tomorrow (I can't wait...). I'm going to do what you suggested rb20detsilvia, and then clean some stuff out, and give it a shot. Hopefully all will be well. I do believe though, that there might be a loss in compression just because of the age of the motor. Anyone know any good sites that give you disassembling information on the RB?

Don't forgot the FMIC, test pipe, and fuel pump .

Btw, I'm pretty scared about going to the track for my first time. Hopefully I'll be going this Wednesday. So many people watching..., not only that, but everyone that I went with (Evo x 2, STI x 3, WRX, Prelude, RSX x 2) did bad... Funny thing is, my friend with the IHE and VAFC 2 on his RSX hooked up nitrous and only pulled off a 13.5 ONCE. All of his other times were in the upper 13's (for reference, he ran 14.0 with IHE and VAFC). Weather he sucks..., it was like 81??? degrees yesturday.

Ok, I checked the coil packs via voltmeter and they are good, so that takes care of the potential spark issue. I'm going to be installing the new fuel pump and checking my timing. Btw..., how do people find top dead center so easily. I'm reading about the necessary tools, and the matters seem very complicating...

take cylinder #1 spark plug out turn the motor over till the piston is at the top there should be a mark on the crank that you can see when that lines up make sure the piston is at the very top thats it easy

Wow, I got the car to start... Weird cause all I did was clean the carbon off of the spark plugs. I'm going to do timing today with my dad. Oh yeah..., when I changed some settings on the SAFC, the car got harder to start and idle'd for only a little bit, but after plugging it out, it idle'd decently, but I shut the motor off to wait for my dad. Will let you know how it goes in about 15 min.

Isn't it sucky when something can go bad so easily?? I started it up, trying to warm it up, and I hit the gas to check for hesitation. Not only does it do this, but oil is also sputtering out of my damn exhaust. Just when I thought that things couldn't get any worse, I here dripping and go over to the engine bay, and see coolant leaking from somewhere (although the radiator was not wet). I can't track the leaking either...

My dad said that the "oil drops" were water mixed with carbon. We smelled it, and sure enough, it was scentless. Also, I dabbed a napkin into the exhaust and the water was apparent (oil doesn't dry right away). Also, the spots on the floor dried in like 5 min as well. I'm happy... . Now to fix the radiator leak.

Btw, we revved the motor and such and everything was dandy. Timing is still on the list, as well as checking over the hoses and such.

I might still go for the 12 second mark but I need to fix the radiator leak first . Now that my SAFC isn't wired up, I have no clue what the hell my rpm is at...

Not only that, but there might be some other problems with the car that isn't apparent till the engine gets warm.
