I got pulled over a tint checkpoint by NY highway patrol. The guy that pulled me over was a d!ck, but after he talked to me and took my papers he went inside his car and told his partner to measure my tints.

His partner came up to me and starts saying "Man what car is this? G35, G37? It looks really good."

He totally threw me off lol, but I appreciated the compliment. At least cops like my car

When i had gotten my tints for the shop, the manager of the place had mistakenly taken out the G35 over lays cuase she thought my a/c looked like one lol. so idk why but she did install for free (which would have cost me 175$)... hahaha

Ive had a dude at work think i had a z and another say a scion tc <shudder>

some stories:

last summer im riding a week or so after my nismo exhaust and a tiburon comes up next to me and pulls one of those, "haha <accelerates rediculously>" and slows down an pulls bak to me, i look back, laugh a lil and downshift to 2nd while goin around 38mph and pound the gas. wheels squeel into 2nd and i take off. at the next signal he pulls down his passenger window and says "damn.. wasnt expecting tht." and then the conventional thumbs up.

another time there was a guy in a ford f150 and he looked down at me and was like- dang is that the new altima coupe? i said yea, hes like- sharp lookin dude- good goin.

there was another guy on the highway in a turbo'd scion tc. he starts yellin at me to go on third beep. i look over to him and laugh. then go into the right lane lol

i like my car :P

5. at a gas station " kids yell out thats a freakin nice car!"

6. parked at target "wow this machine is amazing what is it?" its a altima "an altima omggg oh my god i think i might go buy one ths summer"

7. the people from my dealer swarm outside when i pull up for service (even they guy who sold it to me) i tell him "i might get a Z though" he says "dont even trade this in bro just keep it. Its not RWD but who cares this is so sick"

8. a guy in long island. pulls up next to me in his altima sedan "you ive seen so many altima coupes but yours by far is the best. the ones ive seen look horrible hooked up.

9. my ex my friend has a G35 coupe its kind of like this but yours is wayyy better.

10. the first time the altima coupe came out there was 2 huge billboards by the highway saying "true performance true coupe" and im on the same highway by the billboard and a dude says holy s*** thats that yo thats that and yells"yo bro that s*** is sick"

11. another ex of mine "my current boyfriend has a 07 altima sedan but its nothin compared to this.

12. a random guy on the street "hott as car yo is that the new acura"



13. at the tint shop "yo can i sit in it?" im like huh??? they guy then says ive always wanted to sit in one of these new GTRs..

14. i pull up infont of my cousins college. a random girl with her friends says "oh sh*t he's sexy and his car is too"

i have stories for days. the car has been out for almost 2 years now and people still don't know what it is.

well this is my fav story

me and some friends got together for a little party at his place and i got there early so i parked in front where every1 would see my car as they walked in. i was feelin very proud with my new stillen fascia and HIDs. this is how it went down

friend: hey you see grant's [me] new ride?

asian fool: nah man what did you get

friend: its the red altima coupe out in front!

asian fool: naw i didn't see a red altima, oh shizzz thats an altima?! i thought it was a g37 parked in front!

my fav story but i'm constantly getting looks and compliments from chicks and thats all that matters! plus a friend of mine is always bragging about my car for me

another party some people were walking by and this dude is like, its kinda like a mix with a 350z in the front and g35 in the back

funny story at the car wash (the only car wash I trust):

Guy in Acura is in line ahead of me. After both of us are watching our cars get worked on we go out to the front. A couple minutes go by and I hear him do one of those "Ch ch" things I look over (he wasn't looking at me) he nods towards this guy walking up. Guy: Hey that's an Altima right, my wife has one too. Where did you get your front bumperI: Proceed to promote Stillen and their amazing work with our cars.Guy: then walks off.

Then some other guy comes up and says hey that's your ride right there right? I say "Yes it is." Then he says "Man that can seriously pass as a Maserati" I'm like WTF no not a +100K car...

Then the 1st guy comes back up to me and starts asking about prices for my mods, how I debadged, where I get my work done (headlights etc) and then about future plans. After he leaves the guy that was in front of me (in the Acura) started asking so you gonna throw some new shoes on that thing ? Then we started talking until my car was finished

I do that a lot since the road leading to my place is just a straight road with barely any cross streets. My car is badgeless all around so the only thing giving it away is the steering wheel (no tint in Cali). I'ma have to do something about that steering wheel... Lol.

My father was convinced that the altima coupe ripped off the maserati lights when I first got it. My friend agreed with my father.

My local mechanic who fixed my back bumper after I was rear ended thought my 2.5 was a $30,000-$33,000 car. He fixes 2.5 altimas coupes a LOT! That's just weird...

My girlfriend's mother thought I had a new maxima when I first got the car.

A girl at my college said "nice car" only before getting splashed by a mustang. =] ok.. nothing was mistaken there.. but it was funny that some poor girl who admired my car got splashed by a mustang oh yea.. not bashing stangs before anyone tries to argue. love em ;]!!

I've also had friends from college pull up to me and flat out ask what kind of car it was when I first got it. They still seem pretty rare on the road.. give or a take another year our coupes won't be much to talk about =[!

I had a cool experience this weekend while visiting my parents. I took my dad to the closest Nissan dealership to look for a cheap commuter car for him, and within two minutes or so of me pulling in, 4 sales people came out.. and not to try to sell us anything. They all came over to look at my car. They were quite interested and we talked for a long time about it. I think they forgot that we were actually there to look at their cars. At the end of our talking, one of the guys asked if I could stop back in the near future so they could take some pics of the car for their website. I thought that was pretty neat. My car isn't anything amazing, but I guess they really liked to see what could be done with an AC.

Anyhow.. while I was talking to the sales guys, some other guy and his wife who were looking at the cars on the lot came over and the guy said he thought it was a Maserati when I first pulled in. I know I'm not the first person who has had theirs mistaken for one (the post above even), but really?? Thought it was funny nonetheless.
