'94-'96 is right about 4000lb for non-active models.

Wow, I'd have guessed heavier. Is that a dry weight?

90-92 were identical without options depending on paint and interior colors, 93 had 5 pound heavier front seats due to rear pockets and different leather and dyes. 1994 was a total redesign with thicker glass, bumpers, grill, seats, insulation and gained 113 pounds without TCS, HiCas or Active.

All these weights are without driver, passengers, and gasoline [6.5 lbs per gallon].

As many might note the Japanese test driver was standardized at 145 pounds whereas US companies use 160 pounds. Many fatties wonder why the seats are less comfortable.

So how long are you waiting to crack open the OM or start reading the FSM?

I did and hence my shock at the low estimate. I remembered reading 39XX in the OM but I may have remembered wrong. Or, perhaps that was the curb weight and the dry weight is being stated.

Traction control, Touring and Active suspension cars all weigh more than a stock Q45. Active being the most then touring then traction control.

But touring after 1994 did not have HICAS.

Well, if you are too lazy to read after the computer does all the work for you, I assume you are not that interested either.

So why waste space, bandwidth and time asking?

Thank you for never coming back!

Yes, he could of downloaded a FSM or just Googled the weight.

I thought this thread had some interesting points.

Maybe he is a future owner--no need to run him off

The only dumb questions is....

Well your looking for a 1990 Q45, because those had the least sound profing and weigh less than any other year Q45.

You could take all the weight in the rear out like the spare tire, jack and tools.

Then use a Walbro fuel pump and get rid of the FPCU.

Get rid of the A/T and put a M/T and get rid of all the usless sensor and TCU.

You could also remove the airbag componets too.

Thats all I got for now.

Does you car have a Sony or Clarion CD changer dealer installed?

Does it have active suspension, TCS or HICAS?

Are the wheels OEM?

What other deviations from OEM are there on your car?

sorry for not giving that info earlier.

I do have a Sony dealer installed cd changer in the trunk.

Base model Q, so no active suspension, tcs or HICAS.

wheels are 350z track edition. so 18x8 18x8.5 I believe. Not sure what they weigh compared to the oem 15" wheels.

Other then that, I have a STILLEN front strut bar. Oh and i do have the rear section of the exhaust removed from the flange/slip. so thats like a 20lb+ thats off the car already.

So with the weight additions and reductions I would say your pretty close to OEM weight, Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for posting that info. For such a large car soaking wet with driver that is pretty light.

Acura's AWD RL and TL weigh as much as a G50 but only have a miserable and peaky 270 ft-lb at the crank to move the same mass and more drivetrain. Whoops. A stock Q probably makes with 10 ft-lb of that at the WHEELS. Modern Acura's always worth a laugh. I miss the company that made the Vigor.

That's pretty darn tootin impressive from a 3.2L V-6. I don't think there's anything to laugh about. RL's are sweet and the TL is pretty beastly for a front driver V6. Nothing will replace my Right Wheel Drive and V8, but power today is not what it was even in the day of the G50. Only recently has the power of the ICE surpassed the standard its 400 plus cube bretheren set in terms of flat power curves and peak numbers, not necessarily per liter. What is coming out of these tiny NA engines is absolutely astounding, and these are factory engines that can often handle much more power then they came with out the door. Flatter, broader power curves and higher peaks. All the technology has really taken shape when a stout 300hp comes from a 3.2L that is ULEV certified and can hit 30mpg at cruise in a 3500 plus pound automobile that hits high 13's and 160mph.
