They've had transverse leaf springs on the rear since 1963. I didn't have to Google that. Example of GM cost cutting.

Now they have a transverse leaf spring in front!

First thing in race preparation or in street tuning most tuners dump in favor of coil springs and unequal A arms all around.

Yes, he could of downloaded a FSM or just Googled the weight.

I thought this thread had some interesting points.

Maybe he is a future owner--no need to run him off

The only dumb questions is....
Googling the weight comes up with a range of weights that spans about 300lbs, I was interested in specific weights, if anyone had them from weighing their own cars. I've been building cars for years now and one thing I've learned is that documented weights listed on google or in FSMs are not always entirely accurate, especially given trim level differences. Were I to get a Q45, it'd be a project car but I was curious as to the potential starting point. Q ships sure are heavy sons of b****es lol.

Don't worry about me being run off, I'm a super-mod(global mod, senior moderator, whatever you want to call it) on a major nissan forum and senior contributing member on two other forums that are much harder on noobs than nico is, so it takes a lot more than a couple douchebag comments from the search nazis like maxnix to run me off or make me disinterested in a car.

As a super-mod surely you have read the posts by fellow fact Nazi Q45tech?

So you must know!

Or maybe you don't know they varied slightly year to year and majorly between late and early G50 production?

Which is precisely why I posted this thread, to get factual information from people who had weighed their cars - not to get ballpark figures that you find in FSMs and websites like edmunds (when they used to list weights for cars, which they no longer do, etc). I've read Q45tech's posts a few times, yes. I spend much more time in the VH45DE engine forum than in the Q45 general info forum however.

Search nazis serve their purpose and I appreciate the role you play on my forum quite often - however sometimes good discussion can be spawned from the most innocuous threads. If everyone just screamed "SEARCH NOOB!!!" and locked threads sometimes those discussions would never take place.
