I got my nismo power brace, yashio factory brace and yanack steering rack bushings.

RDHJapan rocks, ten thumbs up, great customer service, ease of use, tracking, awesome and fast shipping, and descent pricing.

LS Automotive on the other hand sucks, i paid them a week+ ago, paypal payment recieved, reciept recieved, however they have not responded to me or contacted me yet... NOTHING... I feel scammed. No tracking, no nothing, just a confirmation they yanked my money...

Anyone dealt with LS Automotive yet? I ordered a steering column solid metal bushing eliminator... and I have still not recieved even a single response... I want it obviously.. but... not even a response to my email to them?...

http://www.lsauto.com/contact.asp

Cause my account sure is 25$USD short, and i'm short of the part too lol. I just sent an email again inquiring what the heck is going on... Not quite cool with no response from the people I make a purchase from.

Sorry to hear that. Is LS Automotive one of nico sponsors? I hope not. Just file a claim through Paypal. That's the best you can do at this point I guess.

Driver side steering rack bushing was bit hard to install. Again, jacking up the steering rack helped a lot, so if anyone wants to install bushings, make sure to use a floor jack.

I've dealt with them several times and yes, they are one of the best out there. Most of all, you get their reply within 24 hours with any questions. I highly recommend them.

Here's the picture of stock bracket and Progress sway bar bracket side by side. Progress bracket is slightly larger than the stock, but not by much. Like I said bushing is thinner on Progress sway bar. Here's the tip. The bolt on the member side has some space, so you should be able to put 3-4 washers there. They will give you more space between bracket and Yashio brace. I'd say about 3-4mms more. If you still can't clear your brackets then I guess you have to cut and weld.

I filed for a debate/claim something on paypal... which is suppose to have the seller respond.. which is up to 20 days... but no response or anything yet.. so lame. I sent another angry email with no response either. I can escalate it to a paypal claim directly, close the current dispute and escalate to a claim... It's funny its only a 25$USD item... but cmon... its been two weeks almost and not a single email or anything in response while they got their money and i have no item waiting here.

Only reason I ordered from LS Automotive is that it was 25$USD and free shipping, otherwise i could have got it frmo Frn Sports or whatever its calle and it was 20$USD + 20$USD shipping (too much honestly for a small damn aluminum bushing). Stupid shipping

Ah well...

God if only I had some of that stuff, I could totally make it at work. I guess it pays to have been raised in a hot rod enviroment. They make all that stuff themselves. Like splitting wishbones and crap like that.

A little review.

I purchased front and rear DC Sports CS-2 STBs. The rears arrived but the fronts are still on their way.

I purchased both from JEGS. Overall descent service but I'm not 100% satisfied as there was some confusion, delay and a hidden fees.

I ended up paying 75 Canadian dollars extra on top of the apparently discounted 'on sale' price. Came to a total of 254.72 Canadian dollars, both front and rear + shipment. They shipped them in separate boxes... and for some reason the other one was being held at Ohio 'shipment exception' by fedex, hence not having it yet. It should arrive on Monday hopefully.

They got my shipping info also a little messed up, but they corrected it after I saw the tracking was incorrect. Tracking is a beatiful service I can not live without on online sales. FedEX Tracking = thumbs up. I just didn't like the wait until they shipped the item, 3 days plus asking me after for extra fees through email. Only after I made the order giving me a sort of markup price. Handling fee (putting in a box!??), shipping fee (okay...), brokerage fee (? My money taken for ?).

Just to mention, I have a stripped car about 300lbs down (i have a list of all the parts and their weights added up/calced) + kyb and stech spring shock combo running 4/4 front and 8/8 rear settings. New LCAs, new balljoints on everything (a year old) all whiteline polyurethane bushings on everything including new swaybar endlinks, crappy moog inner/outer tie rods which are bent/crapped.

Now onto the product.

Overall aesthetics-wise, awesome quality, very beefy, one piece, no bolt-business, looks and feels really nice. Makes you feel its heavier than it is when you look at it, but when you pick it up, its fairly light. Definetely 5lbs~ or so, and well according to FedEX again 7lbs

I had a few fitment issues, it was a VERY tight fit, but again it has to hold tight, so that's something I would want to expect, however... it was kind of... 'bent' but not really bent, more like, not properly shaped but then again this is my first STB install, so what do I know. It was more upwards when fitted onto the blots, not a smooth fit. A light tap with hammer made both ends pop in and then slightly flattened onto the tower. It fit fine, then torqued properely it was mega tight. Easy 5minutes installation not even. (4 12mm bolts off, light tapping, 4 12mm bolts back on - done).

Now onto the 'feeling' review. To put it simple the STB is awesome I never realized something so 'insignificant' could make a difference. I could immediately feel a difference. I am overly sensitive to any and all changes on my car, perhaps more so than others who are perhaps more desynthesized than I'm accustomed to. I can feel every single vibration, change, whatever. Even as I was backing up in the parking lot, no I kid you not I could feel a difference in the rear.

I could feel that my shocks were working better, there was less wobble and laziness in movement. Even what seems to be my messed up differential or transmission mounts when putting into gear (making the car jump) is now nearly non apparent.

Made the car feel alot more responsive, the rear grips and holds better, yes... it actually does. There used to be a wobble and hop when I hit the throttle from a stop, now there was none, the car spun and propelled forwards with surprisingly less noise in the rear, it was smooth.

It doesn't slide in a wobbly fashion when turning wheel left/right and cornering. I know theoretically making the rear end stiffer should result in oversteer however, it was not so apparent and in fact making the rear more solid made the front end's understeer more apparent. I need thicker swaybars to play with all that though. Another topic. What does happen is the rear stays really flat now in a corner, giving me a more enjoyable and predictable ride, no shaky wobble that I previously felt. It's pure awesomeness!

There are no noises that were previously heard in the rear. The car feels more comfortable in a way too, or at least psychologically, its still a very stiff ride, but the noises previously experienced made it sound like the whole car was cracking/breaking over holes/cracks in road, even small cracks on the road. None of that now. I specifically tested this out by going over certain cracks, bumpbs and humps on the road that I usually go over.

At higher speeds with more than extra necessary throttle applied when on purpose pushed, it slides alright, but MAN does it slide smoothly. It used to also have a sort of wobble, shaky feel when I wanted to slide it at fast speeds, now there is literally none of that. It feels so mean crazy flat... very smooth.

The shocks seems to be working more efficiently and the tires seem to be planting grippier now when cornering. Very controllable, predictable, smoother, it's one of the best upgrades in a while for me I can only imagine how the car will be with a roll cage. This alone gave the car a new car feel.

Can't wait until the fronts arrive and I still have to install the nismo power brace, yashio factory front tension braces, yanack solid metal steering rack bushings to install, which I will on Wednesday.

I am quite excited, but unfortnuately I'm rather busy working... so takes me time to do it all.

I still .... need to buy spl tension rods and the pro tie rods... I have emailed about them again today... get them back in production SPL please... I've been waiting since june.

I need the steering column metal bushing eliminator as I was screwed over and wasted 3 weeks through LS Automotive (complete waste of money and time, but at least paypal reimbursed me and is going to give them crap for bad service).

Quite excited to have an upgrade on the car after almost a year (I don't count the HP+ pads as a big deal upgrade as much as the suspension and chassis bits im getting now). Oh and... BRAKING felt better, the rear didn't feel wobbly when braking either.

One of the biggest problems was this sense of wobbliness and shakiness in the rear. This is totally gone now.

Take that 16 year old car!

I just installed the nismo power brace, yashio factory tension rod brace (connects from nismo brace/tension rod to subframe) and yanack metal steering rack bushings and the front dc sports cs-2 stb.

The difference? Wow.. even more of a solid car, massively better turn in and response, big time on response.

The front DC Sports stb also made the car once again alott more solid, very tight, the whole package made a big difference.. and this is with BUSTED tie rods (believe it or not, well at least passenger side is busted), and stock TC rods with whiteline bushing.

Braking toe change also is nearly not there anymore.. but ill take care of that with the SPL pieces.

FR Sports steering column metal bushing is on its way still.. which should definetely make the empty space in wheel gone some more... still gotta get and do that...

It kicks *** all together

To do still for front end: spl tie rods, tension rods and fender brace.

What else can one do to eliminate play/empty space feeling from steering wheel?

What else can one do to tighten rear end as well?

Btw, i test drove this in RAIN, heavy rain, with rear tires being almost slicks... lol... it felt GREAT, cant wait to try it in pure dry. The car is soo stable, sooo smooth, sooo solid its insane of a difference this whole package... made a big dif to how the car feels and how the shocks are working. The car is very quiet now and feels very comfortable (what a bonus), as I said earlier, before it felt like everything was breaking loll.

I got the Yashio one's. The fit good. haven't driven the car EVER so I can't tell you what difference they will make. I was on a Yashio buying kick for a bit. But yeah, they aren't pink, but everything else I bought from them was. Wonder what gives.

They are Kazama tension rods. Actually, I have them on my car. Those rubbers are just the covers. Inside is all same. That rubber is extra piece that they added to keep the debris out. Kazama tension rods are like 2mm thinner than SPL ones. I got Kazama ones cuz I got a deal with tie rod ends/tension rods set. Otherwise, I'd have gone with SPL rods. IIRC, SPL tension rods also have rubber covers. Don't get SPL air deflectors if you lowered your car. Heard that they will scrape. Dan has them on his s14.

BTW, pillow ball tension rods and subframe bushings are my fave suspension mod so far. I love them.
so do you get a smooth ride with those tension rods because i am thing of getting some and are those ball joint tension rod give a smooth ride too because i drift and daily drive so i want to know.

Um... no, ride is harsh with all those pillow ball joints, coilovers, power brace, aftermarket sway bars, 235/40 17 tires and sub frame collars, but I have no problem with them. It all depends on how you take it. Bottom line is, car feels way more controlled. All sloppy feels are gone. Just solid...

a_ahmed,Have you done sub frame collars or aluminum bushings? That'll make rear end solid and tight. Buy you will hear more cabin noise. I saw your post in this thread. You might want to upgrade your dc bar to this one. zerothread/270421

Hey, sorry to bump an old thread, but can you send or post pics of your dc sports cs-2 strut bar installed? Some close up shots around the brake fluid reservoir area would be nice.

I have one, but the brake fluid reservoir is in the way...maybe cuz of ABS? Pics would be most appreciated.

TIA
