I love how people make their threads, asking a question, then completely disregarding the information provided and still doing what they originally wanted to do. Not even waiting for more than one person to respond to the questions.574-240sx wrote:I would put on some fender braces before all that. But its up to you.
haha i understand. Next time, if you don't think your gonna wait for responses, don't make a thread Good luck with the project though!a_ahmed wrote:I couldn't resist so I went ahead and bought it lol but im happy
I'll buy the fender braces too but only after i get the spl stuff installed.
They are Kazama tension rods. Actually, I have them on my car. Those rubbers are just the covers. Inside is all same. That rubber is extra piece that they added to keep the debris out. Kazama tension rods are like 2mm thinner than SPL ones. I got Kazama ones cuz I got a deal with tie rod ends/tension rods set. Otherwise, I'd have gone with SPL rods. IIRC, SPL tension rods also have rubber covers. Don't get SPL air deflectors if you lowered your car. Heard that they will scrape. Dan has them on his s14.a_ahmed wrote:See the ends of the tension rod... compare the spl to the driftworks one to the sample picture of the yashio piece installed. Whatever the brand of the tension rod in the yashio piece sample picture it looks rubbery/****ty. The driftworks one is mega tight (metal).
Where did you get the solid steering rack bushings?a_ahmed wrote:It's in the mail
Yashio Factory Core Support Guard KIWAMI (Same as Driftworks tension rod Brace), Yanack Steering Rack Collar Set (solid metal steering rack bushings), NISMO Power Brace System 2 S13 (version 2? lol same thing to my eyes). 520 Canadian dollars total shipped, teh hot s3x of parts.
Soo now all I need is the steering column bushing, where can I get it? Usually this used to get sold on ebay, can't find it now
And SPL PARTS IF YOU SEE THIS CHECK YOUR EMAIL (nismofly or something on here? lol). I want those spl inner and outer z32 pro tie rods aaand.. the pillowball tension rods
After this, i'll work on the rear end...
Dude, I've just ordered a Kiwami set too. Couldn't resist either.a_ahmed wrote:I couldn't resist so I went ahead and bought it lol but im happy
Just ordered a set. Thanks for your input!!homeslicej2 wrote:NISMO bushings should suit you just fine.
I already have Prgress sway bars front and rear. I'm installing these tonight, so I'll let you guys know how it goes. Wish me luck...a_ahmed wrote:****... you're right... i just realized its like almost touching the swaybar in there
hmm show me pix of what u did.. LOL and i want to get largus front swaybars
Okay, I just installed them on my car. I have 3 way adjustable Progress sway bar in the front, and these Yashio braces cleared it just fine. I would say there's about 3-4mms of space between the Yashio brace and sway bar bracket, but they are not moving parts, so it should be just fine that way. It was getting dark, so I didn't take pictures. My car is still on jack stands, so I'll post pics tomorrow. Fitment is great and installation was easy. Just removed 2 nuts to install them.SPIRONIUM wrote:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WARNING TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these braces do NOT clear whiteline swaybars and i doubt they clear any aftermarket sway. I had these yashio braces and i had to cut and reweld them to fit around my whiteline sway they just werent even close to clearing.

I have a pretty good idea. I think it depends on bracket design. Progress sway bar bracket is just a little larger than the stock. But bushing is thin, so it can hold thick sway bar. You know what I'm getting at? I still have a stock sway bar and brackets, so I'll take a picture of both of them side by side tomorrow.a_ahmed wrote::However, the whiteline fronts are 27mm as well just like the progress swaybars and the guy above said it did not clear his... so.. thats a mystery right there... unless someone can shed more light
