What do you do for a living?

I make Infra-Red camera systems for the military and NASA. Some missle guidance systems and telescopes. I worked on the wide angle camera that just went up on the Hubble telescope. My job is pretty cool I get to melt stuff with lasers all day... Kinda like the movie Real Genius...lol.

And don't sweat the college thing... I never went... I actually learned how to do my job. I might not spell too good, but work ethic will take you anywhere you want to go.

I haven't seen this thread up since I have joined, but maybe this was already discussed? I don't know..but what do you guys do for a living to afford your cars? I know, I know...I'm talking about besides being a p0rn star and stuff like that...

As for me, I'm a Financial Analyst for the Federal Reserve. Even though we are an entity of a Government agency, it's scary about the possibility of losing our jobs even in this economy. There's going to be layoffs announced very soon...argh.

So, what do you do?

very hard to believe that an entity of the US Gov't would actually be doing any layoffs....

but nonetheless..... there was a posting similar to this one on another G-forum, where the poster asked what everyone did and how much money they made. he was asking b/c he was young and naive, and he wanted to know if he could afford mods at his income level.

I, personally, rarely give out any personal information online (even my job title). but I will tell you that I work in the financial industry (and no, it's not with AIG).
