Nice, I really like the Riverbed products. I honestly think that in this product segment they are even better than Ciscoaudtatious wrote:Riverbed is one of the products in our lineup

I've been doing networking for about 10 years now. Started getting heavily into Cisco in about 2001 (right when the bubble burst). I actually ended up teaching CCIE Bootcamps and writing training material for a couple of years so I've had a pretty varied networking history
I've got a few certs:
CCIE #8642 R/SCCNPCCNACCVPCCSPCCDPMCSE - Microsoft CertRCSP - Riverbed Cert
Some other miscellaneous 4 letter ones for wireless, Avaya, and Juniper...
How about you, how long have you been in networking?

That's my next cert!!...I had to put it on hold until I finished my BAS. Currently I only have the CCNP, CCNA, and the CCNA-S. My primary system that I monitor/maintain is a large Promina .NET network. I've been doing this for about 4 years outside of my Air Force training in Comm. (I was a tech controller for 3 years).

I got a minor in business which included 1.5 years of accounting classes. Having a good understanding of Algebra makes accounting SO much easier!!! Got A's in all of my accounting classes.RichiePoor wrote:SVTCOBRA I tell my students all the time that they may not believe me, but they may just need some math skills later on in life. I have a degree in business, teacher certification(2 years of education classes), and a masters in curriculum and instruction.
True, but I did enjoy seeing how math was actually being used in real world situations - depreciation/loans/costs of manufacturing/profit. Cost Accounting to me was my favorite accounting class. What I enjoy about my work is helping out my accounting co-workers (internal customers) find solutions to their daily problems/challenges/manager's requests. I've mainly supported/developed financial applications involving asset management, cash management, general ledger, shareholder management, corporate budgeting. All of which involve detail accounting - and of course math.RichiePoor wrote:I loved my higher level accounting classes, but the first ones were SO boring. I got out of most of the programming stuff. My last job was sql and cobol database programming. This job is mostly creating reports through Cognos tools and access, as well as running reports through a database type system, but I don't maintain that system just fetch data through it. So basically functional side with a little 'other' mixed in.SVTCOBRA wrote:sql server/oracle/db2/other???sas/eztrieve/msrs/crystal/PeopleSoft/applications/other???
Or are you on the functional side?
just curious

Took 1 year of business law as part of my bus minor and loved the class. Mainly, the cases that the lawyer teaching the class told us about.infinitgkid wrote:I'm a Corporate Law major (Business Management major/Pre-Law Minor) and I hate this accounting crap...
