Took the car in for an oil change on Saturday and on the way their the wipers started acting up. So I told the service department and it took them a day in a half to fiqure that the sensor had to be replaced. I guess they replaced the rain sensor too. After they fixed that problem I told them about the tramlining problem and they ordered new control arms and some other front end stuff. But I tried to explain that I spent a few hours on line researching the problem and found that the only viable solution (do date) is to replace the steering rack and tires (Contis DWS) but they seem to think that they have the solution. I told the service rep that "I will be back". Car should be down Weds. However, I need to remind them of the wind shield washers are not working (I think they are glogged after I got the car fully detailed) and the light went out on the center auto gear shift (don't know what the official name). For a car with only 7,350 miles I am experiencing some problems. Thanks goodness the car is under warranty and I hope everything wrong with the car gets fixed early in the car's life. They gave me a new G37 for the loaner (cost me 15 bucks for the gas) and I am not impressed with the fit and finish of the car. Sure I like the engine but the rest seems real cheap. Plus the car is bare bones (no heated seats, navi etc.). Maybe they gave me a G37S loaded I would have a different opinion. I was so close in buying a black on black G37S Coupe but the car was a stick and the only automatic on the lot was white with tan leather. I am just not interested in sticks anymore. After my last Infiniti I told myself if I ever get another V6 it is going to be an automatic. But I am glad I opted for the M35 at the last moment. Driving the G37 I am appreciating my MPG. The G37 drinks lots of gas. I am averaging 19MPG highway driving. I guess if I stuck to 65 mph and did not use the manual mode I would save more fuel. But the car makes you want to push it everytime you get in the thing. What I really like about the car is the exhaust sound. It has a low frequency growl that sounds pretty cool. I did not know how cool it sounded until I started it in the garage and reved it up. Even the neighbor came over and thought it was my new car and said it sounded mean. He never commented once on the new M just the G. Plus when I drive it down the road it seems all the young punks in their wannabe tuners want to race me. In my M I never ever get challenged. However, more women comment on the M than the G. It seems more guys say something about the G. In fact one guy at work thought I had a new Hyundai Genesis sedan than an M35. But a girl in the other office said "that's a nice Infiniti". No I take it back at the gas station some kid came up to me and said my G37 was beautiful then I had to remind him it was a M. He looked at it again walked to the rear and silently walked away.
