A full tank here costs me about $120-130... Or 1/2 of the average Joe weekly salary...

Different place, different reality. Not to make you pitty us or anything. Just making a point that gasoline isn't as cheap as in the US everywhere. ;)

See? That made me think: "Here it could be worst!"
:ohno:

Anyway, that's how it is... Nothing I can do except emigrating and I have a daughter here, so that's a remote possibility... Story of many people lifes, I guess...

So, enough of offthread! Back to the daily drivers business!

So I got my daily drive back, Jay !!! *Happy for 2 seconds*

Long story short, my liltle brother obtained his licence at the beginning of the year, and shortly later I bought the Z. So naturally, I offered him my first car for commuting (uh oh). He's 18 now and switched to an SUV.

Now here's come the good stuffs:

IDK how he managed to get all of that in 6 months of driving just to school and back. I can do body work so I'm not too sweat about it, but still gonna take time. The motor and transmission runs fine. It's appraching 220k and my Z is hitting 230k. The interior is a mess and I haven't had time to clean it up. But when I do and if I find a condom or anything like that, I swear to God I'll shovel it down his throat.

This is my beater/DD. It's a 1999 1.6L 5spd protege ive had since i was 16. riced out with intake exhaust header. really slow and really loud but a blast to drive and bang gears in. Ebrake slides in the snow are fun too. Is sometimes embarrassing but it was my first car and shes been so good to me, i beat the f** out of her in high school and shes never had a problem, she just takes it.

hahaa! it shocked me to find out that this thing also has a 3.0L v6 in it, but no turbos ;) she needs topping up transmission fluid (bad rear seal) and power steering fluid (just plain leaky) every week, but oil is fine. just changed both the belts this summer and busted off a bolt in teh block trying to loosen it, had to retap the threads, ugh pain in the a** thing, then the sliding door wouldn't open, i had to dremel cut through the metal and make an access panel to get at the bits, and then ended up taking the door right off to fix it, works now and she still runs!
