I DD the Z in the summer and DDed her last winter too. But shes parked and tore apart this winter, so the Chevy had to step up to the plate.

Tacoma's are the s*** dude. My dad's '05 runs like a f*** CHAMP with 125k. I miss the size of his old truck ('95 F250 CrewCab) but the Tacoma's fun to throw around and it'll drive through damn near anything with some good weight in the bed.

How much did she set you back?

Nice! I'd love a job close enough I could ride my bike to it. Not in the winter obviously, but the rest of the year. You ever do any trail riding?

I was watching the past episode of USA Top Gear and it was a test to find "America's Toughest Truck". They had a Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, and whose ever truck broke down first had to finish the competition in a Tacoma. The whole episode I was thinking...wow, I think I'd rather have the Tacoma over those other 3 trucks :chuckle:

I'm still in a happy haze (no illicit substances :gapteeth: ) I got it because my WRX spun a bearing and when I pulled it apart I found out the heads were cracked so its getting a full STI makeover and then some and goon up for sale. And because I used to have a 1990 4Runner 4x4 beast of a truck, that I sold with 312k miles on it, the guy I sold it to still drives it to work everyday 3 years later, so I'm expecting a lot of life out of this truck. And you don't even wanna know how much it set me back. I got 2.89% for 66 months, the dealer took about 3k off the price for me so total it'll be 36,500 and some change after financing and all the other fees. my monthly is $530.00 which is yes quiet ridiculous but I got what I wanted plus I needed a truck for work, plus there is partial reimbursement from the company for it so I'm not hurting too bad.

Yeah I watched that episode with a couple friends of mine one of whom has a 94 Z71 with about $15k in the lift, wheels and tires. This was also like 4 days after I got the truck, and my old runner has pulled his truck before so he got a lot of s*** thrown his way when we were watching this.

my z71 is what i built through out high school (i graduated last year)

The funny thing is that i have a z71 and a 300zx so i guess you could say i am a z-man (hints the screen name) but the funniest and craziest thing is that my last name is Holtzman i swear it must have ment to be

Yupper, a 2005 Legacy GT Wagon. One of 1461 made in the United States with a 5-speed transmission. Car is a blast, just sucks I got it AFTER this years epic winter.

I'm betting you won't, but it never hurts to try. That pothole would have mangled OEM wheels, but I'd still be shocked if they gave you anything, especially in this economy.

Tony: Yeah insurance took care of everything, including my deductible woohoo for progressive, Flo did me right :) (I ended up paying $47.09 out of pocket)
Z-owned: Don't hold your breath that way if you do get something it'll be a nice surprise but I think you have a better chance of Scarlet Johansen (sp?) calling you for a booty call.

on snow tires a couple years ago when i sent it to the dealer to have the fuel pump replaced... $700, lolz

i dont have any more recent pics, but i took apart the headlights sanded and compounded both sides of the lenses. also got rid of the yellow lens inside for the turn signal.
HIDs for headlights and fogs. 4k in the headlights and 3k for fogs. the first "4k" i got off ebay looked s*** 6k blue so i bought another diff brand and lucked out.
trust springs, 1" bolt ons, and g37 sport wheels. rolled fenders front and rear. i love the car and it hasnt needed much work. replaced calipers and brake lines up front. front lower control arm on one side. thats it.
