im actually going to use the body harness that was in the car already! i tried to wire up the clips body harness but i wasnt to sure about some of the wires were pretty different! so i cut up my original harness up and wired it back like it was but i wasnt to happy with it! so i went and bought a whole body harness from another car at my local pick n pull! so what i did was just flip the harness around...so the fuse box is in the rhd spot the only thing i have to do is switch some wires and extend my fuel pump plug! the only way to make this work is to do a semi tuck in the engine bay! also i had to extend wires from the bottom part of the engine harness or call it the transmission harness but thats it really! i just hope everything works but it should because nothing on the new body harness is cut! if you need any info hit me up!burninskulls0911 wrote:what about the electrical?are you using the rhd chassis harness? or what?
hey thanks for the props bro and yea im just going to keep pushing along! and i cant wait to get this car rolling to....plus the way i see it......its more to my benefit to take this long on a car...because this would be my first build that i built almost from the ground up....so i'll be ready to build a rat rod i want to build!KakkoiiRacing wrote:he's most likely using the harness from the donor clip.i dk for certain, but best guess would say that it's the easiest way to go considering he's building the setup as it was from the factory.
also, major MAJOR "props" for the amount of work you've gone through to get this far. keep up the good work on everything and don't get too discouraged. people on here seem to get fed up and say "to hell with this PITA, i'm gonna sell this &%$#*@!!!" i can't wait to see you get this thing rolling!
thanks bro...ummm the whole car and all the parts that i have about 3000 to 4000 dollars into it....and my front clip cost me 60 bucks...some guy just needed it gone from his drive way and he hooked me up...of course the clip had no engine but yea!IGotIt4Cheap_84 wrote:Man your is really coming along. Its gonna tight when its complete. It kinda of inspires me to maybe do a conversion one day. Cant wait to see the end pics. How much has it cost you so far and how did the whole RHD parts cost? Just wondering how much it might cost for me to build. Keep up the great work.
yea this is just a filter my pops had laying around in our garage from his old ford. so instead of just leaving it as is i put the filter on so that way the engine is sealed up and no dirt and dust gets into it. plus its going to be my start up filter because after i start it and just drive it down the road i'll change the oil. the engine has been sitting for awhile so might as well do it.Soravia wrote:FRAM?
