yeah its ok if i'm a little behind, i think i probably did more work under the car then you did so it makes sense. i was gonna work on it some today before work but i was at a party too late last night and couldn't force myself to get up early enough i'll probably get the car on the ground tomorrow or monday at the latest. more pics and updates will come then

Welcome to my world.... Precipitation sux!

I would have done more on the underside of my red one but I figure why waste my time on that shell....

Been doing a lot of thinking and I'm prob going to get my gray one painted and throw all my parts on it since it's a much nicer shell. I still want to get my red one running that way I can just pull everything out knowing that it will work once I hook everything back up in the gray one. That's when I'll take the time to copy you and line the underside with a nice thick coat of bed liner

If everything goes as planned I'll be selling the red shell or even pulling the motor out of the white one and selling the white shell. lol got lot's of parts swaping to do still

Wish I knew someone that was into 240's that lived somewhat close to me but looks like I gotta to do it all myself

I'm going tomorrow morning to get my exhaust put on my white one and since it's my daily I gutted my hatch and put a new hatch floor board in it and bolted my sub woofers down. I'll get around to updating my thread one of these days lol Just wastin time trying to get through winter

cmoody- the reason there are no 240 owners around is cuz you own all the s13s in your area. glad i've inspired you to do the truck bedliner. i have a hard time keeping track of what 240 of your is having what done to it, but the grey one will be the nice project now right?

justin- thanks for the kind words, lemme know when you get more type x stuff. i'll be happy to help put it on.

ps- very minor update, but i had about an hour of free time today when it was light out. i got the grease fittings and dust boots on on the ball joints and 2 more coats of paint on them. they'll be ready to go on monday. i also got the rear wheels on and lowered the rear end on to the ground finally . so close to getting the car in the warm garage now, just gotta put the flcas on on monday. no pics though cuz it got dark. i would have worked on it more the other day, but a pretty fun party til 2am. which reminds me, throwing darts while facing backwards isn't a good idea. i know that now

i have a little time tomorrow so i should be able to make more progress. in the mean time heres some random pics of my dad's chevelle. he's in the process of doing the interior front and rear bench seats

headliner in

dash has been in and carpet and door panels will be in soon

how it looks right now (he borrowed some of my fatmat)

random rear shot

the money shot

the wheel well trim also got put on. the rear trim had to be modified to fit since the rear fender wells are rolled to clear wide tires

check back tomorrow for more pics and updates

my first car was a '77 z28 and that steering wheel reminded me of that car

How the hell did I end up in a s14? I used to hate 4 bangers and imports all together lmao

nice chevelle nonetheless

i didnt get any work on the car done today, but its ok. today was my wife's birthday. i thought maybe i'd get some time to work on it but oh well. the only thing that sucks is today was my only day off this week and classes start thursday so i won't have much time at all to work on the car. i did snap a few pics while i was over there.the rear end of the car back on the ground again

heres how the front end is currently, waiting for the flcas to go on.

checklist before the front end comes back onto the ground - install flcas- hammer flat wheel well lip- bed line front wheel wells- rent spring compressor and swap top hats on the front kyb strutsso all sorts of fun is on the way

when i got over to my parents my dad was working on his car a little. he used my optima to jump it and after it was running, performed a vacuum test on it. we now know it needs a vac tank. i snapped a few pics while i was up there

earlier today my dad and brother dialed in the rear suspension. my dad was deciding between 9 way adjustable rear struts and air ride rears. he bought the air rides but after more thinking he returned them for the 9 ways. after a couple passes up and down the road, he settled on setting 5 as perfect for hooking up without hopping.kinda cool, the silver of the strut matches the car

if i was over there i would have got video but maybe next time

Yo WC, so what did you use exactly to spray that bed liner stuff? Paint gun? Rattle can?

Just curious.

got a little work done but had to work a double. i'll post pics tomorrow i'm just feeling tired/lazy. i rented a spring compressor and switched the top hats on the kyb for the one on the stock strut. i also pounded flat the metal lip in the front wheel wells. i used my dremel and notched the ends then flattened the lip over on itself. pics and more coming tomorrow

Hurry up and get this thing on the road!

I remember when I first joined I read this thread. That was like 2 years ago.

Also, I have a question, I'm not sure if it's been covered and I don't feel like reading lol. All the exterior type x pieces are still black right? Are you getting a paint job once it's all back together?

Your car may not be the sexiest 240 around, but it is by far the most thoroughly built 240 around lol. Good job.

FINISH IT

thanks i try to be through. and you are correct the car will be painted daytona blue eventually with the type x aero, but i'm not putting the aero on until i get the whole thing painted so for now it'll just look like a stock bodied chuki. i want to hurry up and get it on the road as well, but pa's winter hates me. i planned on working on the car for a few hours before work but that's not happening. i woke up to snow laying on the ground for the first time this year and a temperature of 17. i have class today as well so i don't foresee anything getting done today. i do however have off all day tomorrow so i'll get some work done no matter how bad the snow is

yeah i heard tomorrow is supposed to be like 7-14 degrees. all i really want to do is sand the wheel wells outside so i dont make a big mess sanding in the shop. instead of finishing the wheels wells completely and putting on the flcas etc etc i think i'll just put a jack under the front and wheel it in on that. i'd like to finish everything inside
