definitely past time for an update, but not a whole lot has been happening. the lawsuit is still going through w/ my former body guy and and car is almost ready for paint. the body line is almost entirely filled in and sanding is almost done. the game plan is to finish the body work on monday and get it into paint tuesday. i've been more delayed than i expected between work and starting classes. i also resprayed my taillights all red (i'll take some pics during the day) since my last spray started to fade because it rained shortly after i did them before i got to clear them. Probably the most interesting turn of events to take place is my hood flying up on me while driving. i had just left my parents to go get gas and the hood came up right after i hit 2nd gear. i was traveling at a safe speed but i had been using bolts w/ nuts as hood pins until the body work was done with no problem up to this point. the hood attained some scratches and i was trying to sand them out and then reclear. since the hood was going to be cleared i didnt wanna put in the hood pins and then take them right back out. the previous owner reamed out the holes for hood pins and while driving the bolts actually slipped through these holes allowing the hood to come up. no one was hurt and no other vehicles were involved since i immediately pulled over, but the cf hood separated from the fiberglass structure. the hood is possibly fixable but i dont have the time or skill to salvage it. i gave it to didderson who will bring it back to life. the hood coming up also cracked the windshield and dented the roof. im having the glass replaced shortly and the new hood is on the way. i went with another VIS invader hood. enough talk on to the pics sorry they arent the greatest but it was dark. hope u enjoy them i took them w/ the camera i just picked up this morning for $40. the red paint for the tails had a little left in it so i tagged my car lol. u can also kinda see my progress on the body line but i'll get better pics when its donethe hoods over at didderson's but heres how she sits now.cracks in the glassdented roof im gonna let the body shop take care of itpicked up new hinges today, but as u can see the old ones bent til they came around and contacted the windshield.

thats all for now but monday is crunch time, so i'll have lots of pics then.

thanks, lol. it was just dumb luck, stuff like that normally doesnt happen to me either. they werent really free, its actually better cuz i got the whole car for free and sold it for $1000. so after the money i spent to get the car running and the labor to swap the 180sx glass into my personal car i got the glass plus about $900

It's a 240sx meet at the IKEA in south Philadelphia. There's the link with a map of the location and some pics of the meet if you scroll down.zerothread?id=256913

alright made some progress tonight but not as much as i wanted to. i had way to many distractions today. first, i went over to didderson's and we started to fab up brackets to mount 6.5" in the door. while i was there i snapped some pics w/ the new camera and i will shamelessly whore them for himengines lookin pretty good and sounds mean, cant wait til its on the roadinteriors mint. the back seat just got pulled and nismo harness went insmoked signals and chuki w/ zenki lipall red tails (wonder where he got that idea from?)

i got a call from my little bro and swung over to check out this:1996 suzuki gsx/ katana 600. 13k miles freshly inspected this monthhe got it for only $1300 and the only prob was the head lgiht didnt work, so here is is fixing wiringmy dad and grandpa were also checkin outcame w/ a yosh pipe on it and a brand new front tirerides nice and sounds great

finally i did get more of the line filled in its nearly perfect nowhard to tell but it just needs sanded now.i might do a write up on how to remove the body line, but here i am grinding it downit goes pretty quickthe newly cleared and wet sanded tailsi'm gonna have at least 6 hours to dedicate to it tomorrow so it'll really wrap up.

its supposed to rain tomorrow so my grandpa recommended i cover the engine bay since the hood is laying behind didderson's. this is how u batten down the hatchesman thats a nice lookin paper weight. hope u enjoyed more pics coming tomorrow w/ next update.

Oh man I must say thanks for the whoreage! I've been busy like everyone else w/ school and work there is only one day guaranteed for car work . But as soon as that radiator comes and your bro fixes my pass. side frame rail rust we'll be on the road I swear! lol. So yea thats where the nasty lookin radiator comes from (tried to fix it w/ fiberglass = fail. JBweld failed also. One more thing guys, the seatbelts will be looped over a Cpillar bar soon. So my spine stays fine .

1 thing about the red tails, you got the inspiration from me remember? Because I know i saw it on vroomchirp's car. I saw his first S13 and I knew I had to do that. Such a cheap nice looking mod, my pockets say yes! haha.

When i get around to fixing ur old hood I think i'ma try for another writeup.

I'm glad your body work is going smoothly (+1 pun). Makes me proud *tear*. Keep pluggin away mang. I have to sop up the rest of that windshield fluid, but i think i got it all today....

Ah ok. Upon further review I should edit my post because I have a habit of not closing my parentheses but I'll leave it like that so I learn2type.
