not much to really update. lately the time spent on the car doesnt get anything accomplished. keegan came over a few weeks back to help continue to check into the electrical system but we just need to spend a larger chunk of time on it. i have parts that have come in but installation of them yet so i havent updated yet. my optima red top battery died so that threw a wrench in my plans as well

mamsparts.com is where i bought my FC, had the best prices when i was searching for mine, altho i was very limited for choice to get a D-Jetro JZA80 version

edit. Nice engine bay, real clean but damn...46 pages and no wheel updates?

yeah i already purchased my pfc d jetro, just need to install it now. wheels will come later, im putting a lot of attention into every part of the car i work on so it takes time, plus this build thread spans 2 different s13s.

740s would be right around what i want. but i dont have the money now, plus i need a battery so that i can try to start the car, but yes i do need injectors as well as a radiator, fpr and a tune

you should be able to charge the redtop again, i had one in my cherokee and after a day of wheeling i killed the alt and drove it home on just that battery, killed it twice on the way. had my friend charge it off his truck for a bit and kept going. that battery has since been in 4 different cars. and still working. no problems.

yep joel's right i work at a battery place. this also means trust me when i say its dead lol. i do have a battery maintainer but i was dumb and left the trunk light on and on an automatica maintainer it'll actually help drain your battery when its fighting against something like that. i brought it into work right away and threw it on the analyzer, but believe me it will not come back from .81 volts

or i can just spend my paychecks lol. i just dont have any money at the moment from spending $750 on a power fc and then buying my wife a v day present as well as her buying me a v day present (since the money all comes out of the same account lol). but dont worry over the next few weeks i'll purchase the battery, the rad, the fpr and injectors. i should have all of those purchased by next month but right now i just need to trouble shoot and diagnose the issue with keegan. this is why i need a battery first, hard to check for voltage with no battery lol. if im feeling it i'll throw some pics up of the shiny new parts i've been acquiring. idk though, no one wants to see a pile of parts just sitting there.

im hardpressed to believe that a SINGLE led light killed your battery with a maintainer on it.... plenty of cars are maintained with the battery still connected to its systems...

QFT. After snowboarding the lights didnt go off in the van's interior for 2 days because it's hard to close tight (previously rear ended king of prussia run lol) and it still cranked over.

Iirc your dads battery tender was broken way back when you had his place to store it and u drained it with the doors open there way before now. Once a dry cell battery goes below a certain charge there's no bringing it back. It dies fast even I know that. for shame is all, lesson learned battery man :P

its not that a single bulb drained it on its own. when an AUTOMATIC tender hooked up they assist any parasite to the battery after it reaches full charge. so after it charged my battery it continued to fight the light and just ate away at the battery. however i believe the battery to have been bad before that possibly from lack of keeping it charged, because it still puts out 13.2 volts actually, so we brought the voltage back up, and the charge on the battery was 100% but the cold cranking amps were at 300 which is squat. i assume its been that way for a while cus all the light would drain is the voltage and recently id only been testing the battery for voltage since i dont have the battery analyzer we have at work

So I've been flipping through this page by page. It's very inspiring. Granted, for the time being my car is going to have to be mostly stock until I'm done in California, but all of this gives me some serious ideas!

thanks for taking the time to browse my thread, I'm glad it inspired you and gave some ideas. The 240 has moved to a new home and maybe work will resume in a week or so, but my current situation give no time for a car hobby
