I had ordred a large roll of black vinyl so I decided to do some experiments on the car over the weekend. What do you guys think? I like the side panel part but I think the black mustache and the stripes are too ricey on the silver coupe. I took it all off because I didnt really take the time to do it properly because i just wanted to see if it would look good. I am thinking of redoing the side panels only. What do you guys think? Ricey? Decent? or just plain Fugly?

I think the side panel is actually really cool, obviously very R8 looking. The hood and stache are alright as well, but that side panel really stands out!

I really like the side panel , but I don't like the stash or the vinal on the hood. Do the stash color matched. If you want more black, do the whole hood roof and trunk. Would look good with a carbon fiber hood, roof overlay, and carbon trunk.

You could also try just a roof overlay with those sides.

I will try and photoshop some things when I get home from work.

Defenetly will be photoshopping those sides on to my white coupe as well. But a more flat black

Just a thought. but the front might look better with some gloss black gtr overlays.

Looks OK it needs some tweaking little thicker and maybe Carbon Fiber?.

defenetly shouldnt be any thicker. The lines go exactly with the lines in the door and window. Any thicker and it would look ugly. Just like the R8 It flows with the natural lines of the car.

Cool idea...but I think it's fugly. It's too much contrast. Maybe if the entire hood and trunk were covered as well, as someone had mentioned above, then it'd look decent.

The more and more I look at it, front stash and hood is just too fugly! I think I'll install the sides and look into getting the roof overlays. As for the trunk...I think its a bit overkill. I was originally thinking of doing the carbon fiber look, but I thought it might be too cheezy and went with simple glossy black. If it turns out ok...I'll work on getting matching rims. Looking forward to your photoshop renditions.

OH MY!

I photoshoped the coupe's side like the R8 but it didn't come out as nice as what you had in mind!

I like how it stops near the side skirt. It's amazing! Real nice follow on the A/C's lines. Ya any thicker is not needed.

It looks too dark though, but Carbon Fiber is nice. :P

ONLY PROBLEM FOR ME IS.It looks so much like the expensive vehicle, to do a cheap imitation. :P

I think I would like to see the hood vinyls follow the line down onto the bumper and swoop back around the light. That is what bothers me, you followed the lines very well but then radimly stopped them. But all in all dealt nice job

I love what you did on the sides. So I photoshoped your idea on a white coupe. I may do it in a matte black. If you don't have a problem with that.If you post some pics with out all that crap on your roof. I can photo shop the roof for you. It may look good to do a dark grey on your car as well.

My Coupe

my coupe stock, and a randow white coupe i found online. I didnt have any good angels to do this on my coupe.

if this design would have been your own idea and would have been done before the R8 came out i would be all for it. But this is an Altima and not an Audi. Seems way overly poserish to me.

To each their own though.

cuz i dont want to start hearing "poor man's r8"

but it looks real good.

infantry, the first p/s looks the best cuz the side of the vinyl closet to the back of the car curves rather thn pic 2 n 3 where the vinyl goes straight down. ^^ tht sounds confusing. i hope u get wht im saying

I'm with you. But it's also not my car so to each his own. If you like it, I'd say keep it! Maybe I dont like it because of the curved window and then it just goes straight down? I think if it kept the line of the window I'd like it more...but maybe not? Oh well...If you like it, thats all that matters!

Ok I rounded it out a little on the side and at the bottom. I will do some better photoshops tomarro with better pics. Sparktree, take some more pics at more angels with out the crap on it, and I can change things up with out you having to waste more vinal.

Woah, I agree pretty much with everyone else. I don't like any of the vinyl on the roof or the stache, but I love the one that follows the rear windows.
