I sent them a deposit on June 6, and they told me my motor would be in this container. Aside from verifying that they received my deposit, I haven't heard from them.

Aside from Vicky...I dont think their customer service is up to par. Honestly. I had to REPEATEDLY call only to hear Oh sorry I cant find your paperwork. THEN they wont give me a tracking number. I just wait for it go get here.

Expect it to be late. Venus Auto's shipping company is horrible but other than that they are great to deal with. I never had any problems with their customer service as you have mentioned.

yeah it took 2 months for venus to finally get the clip they keep saying that the place that i got it from had not given them a deposit. i didn't buy it from them directly i got it from a shop here in Austin , Texas. i had to call many times. they would always say let me see if a can find the paper work. Hopefully they have send it yesterday.

About a week after you, I think. You should call them and see if they have your engine in the container they just got.

I managed to get ahold of Venus Auto late this afternoon, after trying via email and phone since friday.

The first guy said "we didn't get any CA's in this container" me: "I know for a fact you did, because I know of 2 clips that were shipped out of it last week"him: "ohh, umm, lemme let you talk to my boss"

So I talked to his boss, he gave me some BS about missing paperwork, how I should've already sent them the rest of the money, etc etc. He then said "this phone is breaking up, let me call you right back" I waited 15 mins...no call back, so I called him again. He gave me the same crap about paperwork and money, and I got annoyed and got a bit irate with him about their poor communication, the fact that they're hold $500 of mine, the motor is late, etc. He finally broke down and said they had my motor, but it came in with no transmission. He said some one else got a motor from them with "a blown piston or something" and it was being sent back, and I would get the transmission from that. Is that someone on here? They don't know when the transmission is coming in, sometime "this week...or maybe next". I dunno...I'm debating whether I should send the remaining $1250 now to speed things along.

Cliff notes: venus has horrible communication (excluding vickie), my ca motorset came in minus transmission, waiting for transmission from blown customer's motor to complete motorset

Its look like everyone thats ordered a clip will have to wait a long time since they are in demand right now. It looks like alfred83 has ordered to so that will take a while and then xyster ordered one and they are giving him bs about the transmission. Venus is full of s***t. They usually only receive like one on every container so it will be a while for everyone to get one. IT TOOK ME ABOUT TWO MONTHS.

They probably receive more than they tell you about ;) I'm sure they arent going to say yeah...we got 5 in but 4 have allready been paid for. They will just say they had one come in because it's less hassle. I've had no problems with their customer service other than getting a compression check done quickly. I call, I ask for the owner...if Vickie is not there he is the only one I will talk to because it simplifies things to deal with only one person. They have issues with their phone, so just keep calling. They are also perpetually busy doing something and dont always have time to take care of your problem immediately. They wanted me to pay in full before they would do the check, I just told them that wouldnt work. You have to make it clear to them you are very serious about buying an engine, have your deposit in, then try to only talk to one person, its the easiest way of getting things done :)

Basically, they just need more competition. Seems everyday more and more people are buy CA18DET engines and hopefully, the prices don't go up to some absurd amount!

I emailed them and called and they have always been nice, but I just sent them an email a week ago to ask about Ca's being in stock because I'm ordering one in a month and I haven't gotten an email back...guess I'll send another one.

I gotta a question, 180sxCA18DET, you said that you ordered a front clip in Austin? Did you order that from PROTECH? I overheard Vickie talking to you...i think... From what I understand, Protech never even ordered the front clip from them, he just inquired about it. Protech said that they wanted one and kept asking but they didn't actually go through with any of the "orders" and kept putting if off, that's why she couldn't find their order form. It's not Venus' fault, I heard that it was.....damn..what was his name.....Tree? or something to that extent.

i payed $2100.00 I know sounds like a lot but i got a very good complete clip. all the piping and stuff and the clip only had about 90,000 km. It has a brand new compressor, and the head it extremely clean the intercooler it super clean no oil on the piping inside and out. Im taking it out at friends shop working on it slowly. The clip also had no front end damage.
