9.5k may be a little steep but its not *that* bad considering its a higher year, 77k miles, and looks to be very very clean and in good condition, stock. Also its from the dealer so I'm assuming there's some kind of warranty?

Thread jack? This entire thread is one massive threadjacking.

As for the injectors, you'll want to replace them all at once, so looking around $600-$675 if you do the work yourself. A lot more if you take it to a shop. $230ish if you only do 2 injectors, but it's recommended to do them all if one fails.

if i where you i'd get a tt front bumper with a nice carbon fiber lip some nice side skirts and thats it, then slam that b**** on some phat a** wheels give it a clean paint job then leave it alone unless you want to tt swap it. but expect to spend about 800 for clean body styling for your z. most of that 8 bills being the front lip.

I wasn't talking about that... I was thinking what are the odds that somebody would know enuff about that car to realize that the JDM front exists, go thru the trouble of installing it and then leave the rest of the car bone stock?

I swear man the 240 guys gotta love you phanatik, you are the biggest proponent of slamming it on it's nuts I've ever seen and my old room mate drives a GTI that gets stuck on speed-bumps literally.

If it weren't for Phanatik, I wouldn't be here. I've always respected this platform, but it was Phanatik that opened my eyes to some of the visual possibilities. I'm not an advocate of 'extremely slammed' rides... but I hate wheel gap. As long as there's no wheel gap, I'm a happy camper!

man, there are a few more of us slamburglers on here. z32tt or whatever his username is is pretty low aswell. storry about being slammed, the other day i was driving through the city and i started hearing this wierd a** noise and i was like wtf is that? i realized that the street was all oddly curved and my car was dragging on the ground. lol mostly my front bumper but i noticed my exhaust resonaters had a few scrapes that werent there before.

1st of all no matter how low a gti is it will always look like a van lol. 2nd you're right, slammed cars just look so ill to me. theres nothing like riding next to a corvette and you're lower than they are. plus its almost like a right of passage now into the drift community.

how do those side skirts actually atatch to the car?

and on the front wheel in that pic.... does the corner of the side skirt sit lower than the corner of the 99 front bumber
it's held on by 3M tape and rivets. a two piece skirt but the top piece are optional.

i dunno if it sits lower or not. all i know is the JDM bumper looks nicer if the car is dropped.

I agree on the van thing sorta, I like hot hatches and its impossible to like a clean car that has a 1.8L and puts down almost 350 WHP. but when you litterally have to get a new oil pan at least once a month then your tooo low.

And simmode I agree that a car has to be esthetically pleasing as well as powerful to be shall we say "the s***" but to its always function over form, its not that I dont want the car to look good slammed or not (depending on car) its that I will spend my money on power, sound, wheel, etc.... before I get too deep into suspension and I like doing things right so any amount of camber is a a neg in my book because I want the car to perform at the top of its ability and then I'll worry bout how it looks.

wow sorry for the long post

by the way Vanessalalinda if you get sideskirts you should get these

these are the ones i have, they were $150 for both in fiberglass, i think they are the cleanest looking sideskirts i've seen. i have that rear bumper also, but i dont like how it looks from directly behind so i'm gonna shave it when i paint my car. also when you shop for front bumpers, get DURAFLEX its a combination of a bunch of materials and its super flexible so it wont brake like fiberglass or urethane. i can attest to this, i once ran my car into a curb drifting and when i got out my bumper was pushed up towards the sky, i kicked it and it flopped back into place, i ziptied it and it looked like nothing had happened.

in my opinion those side skirts would be dope if they were lower to the ground, i like flat flush skirts but those just look to stockish, i would love skirts like that but maybe 2 inches or more lower than they are.

Wow... That is COMPLETELY opposite from what we recommend to noobs in the S-chassis board. We usually advise ppl to upgrade their suspension and braking performance before adding power, primarily as a safety precaution. I've noticed that this board doesn't seem to subscribe to that school of logic...

Eh, I want suspension, But IMO, the Z32 brakes are quite sufficient for whenever I've needed them.

How much power are you planning for and do you track your car?

These are the questions we have to ask 240 drivers. It doesn't take much to overwhelm our stock brakes and we have alot of guys tracking their cars. There are even some that had to upgrade from Z32 brakes after experiencing fade at the track.

At the least, I'd consider performance pads, slotted rotors and braided lines if you do any 'spirited' driving...

My first REAL mod was actually slotted rotors and performance pads, ordered from a NICO sponsor. I don't really consider it an "upgrade" unless you are going with a larger diameter/ SS lines ect... To me it's just stock with a little less fade.

I'll probably eventually get around to going to a track, but I'm definitely going to do suspension first and foremost.

z brakes are ok, but i would get fade all the time on the mountain, they are better for lighter cars like the s-chassis.

except that neg. camber is necessary for optimum performance.... but i've come to terms with the fact that i'm a ricer, i dont care that my car handles like s*** as low as it is, i just love being low. also i've yet to ding my oil pan and i've been slammed for a while now. also i wouldnt really consider sound over suspension for function over form.

I think thats a realization more ppl need to come to. Everybody has this goal in mind of building some uber badass car that's capable of laying some rediculous Time Attack smack down. When in reality, most ppl will NEVER put that performance to use on a track or even rarely on a mountain road. Sometimes, ppl set goals soooo lofty, they never even reach them.

When I came to that conclusion in my life, I realized it's OK to compromise some performance for style. You're probably not gonna use all that performance anyways. But as in all things, you gotta do it in moderation to strike that balance between the two that you're happy with. That's just my opinion, though.

I basically just want a clean, slammed Z with enough power. I'm not talking insane brain splitting power, just enough to make me happy and keep up with most of the people out there
