^ . My neighbor has an 1988 Fox body GT Convertible garage queen with the 5.0 liter. It's not his daily driver, but it's a pleasant cruising around car. Brisk in a straight line but the brakes suck. It feels kinda cheap as most Fords of that era do, and there's usually something small and annoying that needs attention, but it is what it is. Cheap fun.
< not sure I'd buy a Fox body now, unless it's a genuine Saleen or Rousch.

^ Sorta. I think the brand new mustangs, like the Laguna Sega Boss 302 is changing my attitude about mustangs in general in a good way.
< Good friend is restoring a 69 Mustang GT vert with a 390ci, 4 barrel carb and 4 speed trans. I drove it a few times before he took it apart. Fun car once the rear tires grabbed.

The SN95 "94-04" and the S197 "05-present" are what most of the dbags buy, ive been to a few mustang shows with some friends ands its all about who can have the most gaudy chrome trim on their cars, its pathetic.

^not my favorite generation of Camaro/firebird but I liked them considerably more than the mustangs of that era. My non-mulleted brother-in-law had bought a then new 3rd Gen F body Camaro Z28, which he graciously allowed me to toss around a few times. I also rented a few 3rd gen F bodies on business trips. I found their V8's torquey, but not blazingly fast, brakes were pretty good. I remember the steering felt a tad overboosted and numb but the car handled well considering its heft. It felt nose heavy, but easy to work with. I liked the dash layout, but not crazy about the seats, or cheap plastics GM used. I did not view it as an ideal DD, but did see it as a nice weather weekend fun car.
Your thoughts?
