I saw a godspeed GT28 w/ internal wastegate on ebay buy now for 380$ it was ending in 30 mins and there was option to place bid.. I wasnt planing on actually upgrading my T25 turbo to a gt28 yet but i figured the starting bid was 289$ if i can get it for 295$ why not? So i waited, bid last minute, and won the turbo, however now im reading on whats required for the turbo swap, i know oil (and coolant?) lines are needed but i think i read going to a gt28 isnt actually a simple bolt on turbo and that stuff doesnt line up and you have to fabricate.. Is this true? Please help me!

s15 Spec r is what I'm planning on getting when I get my SR. No cheap parts for me :D

Anyways, I believe for a t28 you need reclocking plates, look them up, you'll find them. You need oil and coolant adapters as well.

Guess you never have heard of the horror stories about these turbo's? Godspeed is all junk parts. It's not the clocking parts you need to worry about, its gunna be trying to make boost safely with that time bomb strapped in your engine bay. GL with your build, if I were you, sell the turbo on CL for 250, some other person will buy it, and blow it up for you.

Are the gt28 adapter flanges and these turbo lines all i need for the turbo swap?: http://www.enjukuracing.com/isis-sr20de ... 10791.html

Also i havent heard any stories on bad godspeed turbos, just a lot of people talking smack about GS b/c they arent really overpriced.. Unless i see a first hand bad experience story w/ the GS GT28 im going to go for it, i only paid $289.. If the turbo goes ill just strap the old T25 back on and save for an OEM S15 T28.. Which cheapest ive found is 779$ on enjuku.. :(

Those clocking plates are exactly the ones I was looking at. I want the OEM s15 Spec R turbo, but they seem to be getting harder to find. I might jsut end up going with the Garrett one, here. http://www.thenismoshop.com/ikorb.php?f ... uct_id=341 Not sure If it's the Spec R one though.

Also, these

What would u think if i told u i found a spec R s15 turbo for $750 shipped? :) and what about those oil lines? Is that all i need for the gt28? Also do i need a new fuel pump, pressure regulator, fuel rail, and injectors or will the stock pump and 370cc injectors be ok?

My plan, is to get the car running flawless. So I might as well get new injectors and a nice ECU tune.
As of right meow, I know you need that oil drain kit, reclocking plates, I'm not sure about coolant or the oil lines themselves.

From where? lol.
I want a Nissan one, Spec R

Is it spanking new? lol.

Well good luck with Godspeed. I haven't used them, only have heard stories. But stories are enough to deter me away. I''m only buying the best parts. Go big or go home :p

Wow not save a little more and get the ISIS 3871R? It's not much more and Enjuku backs up their ISIS parts insanely well. GS MIGHT send a replacement if it fails, but chances are they won't. Are you getting the supporting mods? Injectors, MAF, tune, etc?

no fuel rail need unless you dont get sidefeeds, you should already have a walbro just running the t25... if not, your already starving your motor

but your not even gonna get close to 350whp with this setup..not even over 300...

I would not trust a Godspeed part on something as important as a turbocharger. Intercoolers or something not actually mechanical....yeah...whatever, but not a turbo. You're just asking to ruin your motor.

If you're aiming for 300HP, just buy an oem S15 turbo. Don't cheap out on something so important.

How will the turbo ruin my motor? & i plan on taking the turbo apart to check for metal shavings, is there anything else i should look for? (besides shaft play) also how is not having a walbro pump for just my stock turbo starving it?, if i end up backing out of the gt28 im just going to work with my stock turbo and aim for 240hp (t25 maxes at 250-260?) so i guess 240 is conservative.. I have my godspeed catch can, godspeed coilovers, godspeed cross bar, front strut bar, and isis short shifter coming in the mail.. I also got cipher racing type R style seats ill be installing soon

Lol ive seen tht video, but mines a godspeed not ebay.. Thats like a half step above  & i might send it back and get a s15 turbo, i got a price from a jdm warehouse selling one for $500 ($545 shipped to me) but im getting a viper alarm system and drilled & slotted front & rear rotors next week so i might not have money for it,.. P.s, just got my ISIS short shifter, looks well made. I heard im gunna have to drop my transmission to put it in??

you wont need to drop the transmission to install the shifter, its really easy, just a few bolts and some rtv... ratcheting wrenches help

i would get the s15 spec r. honestly the few hundred extra bucks is well worth the quality and simple peace of mind... now is the "jdm" shop selling a used s15 turbo? that could be a potential problem.....maybe... a turbo is a part of your setup that if ran and tuned properly will last years, so dont cheap out for a few hundred bucks and take a risk...

but good luck with build, any thoughts on your fuel set up & tuning? maybe exhaust/intake mani's? cams? > these are the only thing that will get you even kinda close to your HP goal... which i still feel wont be reached

So I didnt want to say anything until you mentioned the godspeed everything else.....

#1 god speed coilovers suck! I know from experience, a friend of mine picked up a set and less than two days later he hit a good bump and one of the fronts blew, a week later both were blown and by the end of the month they were all blown. They still ride ok, but my 3 year old k sports ride better and have been way more abused.
Btw he doesn't drive his car hard, he has had the same eBay bodykit on it with fiberglass fenders for 4 years and has just minimal cracking if that tells you anything. Imagine what the track will do to them

# 2 used jdm parts/used 240 parts aren't that bad exspensive if you know where too look. I got my whole suspension setup, tension rods, coilovers, brand-new Isis rucas, wicked tuning toe rods, traction rods, Megan racing front strut brace, juran rear strut brace(pimp jdm Shiz the mounts are powdercoated pink from the manufacturer lol) all for well under 500$.. Actualy to be exact 320$ and there is a good 1600-2 grand worth of stuff there

#3 I don't know much about turbos except cheap ones are no good!
It will blow quickly and if it doesn't operate properly will definitely ruin your motor

Once i read u said tht i was gunna send them back as soon as i get them but i get a 1yr warrenty so im gunna go for it, ur friend could have just got a defective set... (thinking positivd) and im gunna check out the turbo once i get it & post pics

i said running a walbro with a stock sr is smart, research and you will find im not the only one with this "opinion"

but from what you said above, you will have the fuel support to run the turbo at moderate boost. i wouldnt have the car tuned locally with this type of set up. just get a jwt rom tune. its cheaper and depending on the skill and expirience of your local tuner... the jwt will be a better tune.

but if you want to come close to your hp goal, throw in some jwt s3 cams too and you will see a major improvement. maybe even extrude hone your stock manifold... these are what will get you the power you want..

even more so with a quality built / engineered turbo... something to consider, whether is a DD or a track car.. these are the factors that will make or break your build

Ill try researching the walbro w stock turbo method & i think im just gunna go for 230-240hp w the t25 also i was going to get a polished godspeed intake manifold but idk if ill need bigger intercooler piping on the intake side if i do & is there any supporting mods i need w/ cams? Also i just stumbled upon your build thread under the office of build threads or w/e, i only looked at the first page but thats sick u have a silvia front end, originally i wanted that but i started liking the aero w/ sleepy eye look better vs the conversion hassle & my car has a slightly less then decent black paintjob the car was originally red but i have no thousand dollars for paint/its not that important
