I personally would just spend the extra 150 bucks for a new one, but it's your money so you do what you want. With any used turbo you run the risk of receiving a bad one.

Are you sure it's me? As far as I know I haven't joined their facebook page

Dude your screwed. My dad just bought a stock ct26 turbo off godspeed, from ebay, for his mk3 supra... it didnt fit at all, so he returned it! If i were you i would return it, and get your money back...and take it as lesson learned, you can never buy an ebay turbo without problems! If i were you i would find someone with a used S14/15 T28, you can buy. Or get a GT2871R.

If you haven't already purchased it, Morph just posted a link where you can get a T28 kit for the s13sr. Comes with everything you need to get it on AND even the turbo for under 900. When I buy mines, I'm gonna call them up and ask if I can upgrade to the spec R one.

I dont think you have learned anything from all this

1. stay away from ebay turbos
2. why buy a used turbo to save $150 when you can buy one new and have no worries?
3. stay away from ebay turbos

get it?

Ehh, he'll probally be fine, as long as the seller was good and its actually a name brand not Goodluck brand turbo. Last turbo i bought before my current was an s14 T28 off ebay and it lasted me 5 years till the bastard blew. So not as bad as you think.

i agree that it is possible to get a reliable turbo from ebay, but for such a small price difference, is it worth the potential risk?

no i did read your link
and found your USED s15 spec r for 640 shiped ... with a 7 day warranty.. hmm

but as previously posted, there is a NEW s15 spec r for 800 shipped (http://www.nissanparts.cc/catalog/?section=1075)

so a $160 difference for a NEW turbo, compared to used..

and didnt you just say you were "not going to cheap out"?

i hope all is well with the turbo, but it is still used.. with a garbage warranty

That's your best bet. Me personally, I would have dropped the extra coin for the new turbo, but we all spend out money differently. I'd trust the used s15 t28, even with some shaft play, over the ebay turbo you were going to put on.
