lol, well thanks for looking at the build, the first page shows nothing really though, and i only paid 400 for a full stage 1 paint... just saying look around and negotiate

but either way, you should never rush a build around budget, research and reaserch, and then research some more on what you really want. Build it correctly, tune it correctly and you will never regret the end result, even if it cost you a few grand more... oh well

Yeah im jus slightly rushing because im gunna garage keep it all winter and i just got the car so im tryna do whatever i can before the snowwww, so im prob gunna just work w my stock turbo, get a walbro and thats it as far as fuel support rite? I dont need a fpr do i? & i want 180sx taillights but there sooooo expensive ive seen from 5-almost 700$ but i found the two lights and center garnish for 455$ but its not a priority rite now

i think thats a good idea, take the godspeed turbo and check it out, and worst case sell it, someone will buy it

and get a walbro, a fpr is not a necessity... so that can come later

the kouki type x lights are insane for tails, dont waiste the money..yet

if you want power, stay focused on it and by the end of the winter, you could have a bad a** set up ready for the summer, that actually meets your hp goals correctly and with quality..

pm me and ill shoot you a few good links and let me know if you have any questions

Well it's brand new, it better not have any shaft play.

My Ebay t25 lasted one track day. It was shot within a few hours of it being on my car. Good luck with yours.

The S15 Spec R turbo is far from rare. Russell at NissanParts.cc stocks them all of the time. $800 shipped.

Ok, I decieded to hold off on my risky ebay turbo install.... however i now have a new performance plan, Cams?.. does this sound like a good upgrade for my stock turbo... I was planning on ordering: Brian Crower Stage 2 Camshafts, Springs & Retainers, And as a precaution the performance shop guy said i should get headstuds.. and i myself was assuming getting rocker arm stopper is a good idea? anything else i need to worry about?, i also got my Megan lightweight pulleys in the mail today..

There's a company, which I believe is JWT, that can tune your ecu which gives you a more efficient tune over the factory tune. I want to say some have seen around +20hp just by doing this to their stock sr. Don't quote me on that, and if anyone can back me up with more information, that'd be great.

As far as building the head up, that sounds like a solid plan. If you are using the factory head bolts then grab some ARP head studs as the factory ones WILL stretch. You will also want to replace that head gasket, and i recommend going ahead and getting a metal one over the OEM gasket, but that's up to you. RAS are only 70-100 bucks so you might as well get them. I don't know if you'll need new valves/valve guides, but while you're in there you should replace the valve seal guides with OEM or Supertech

Head gasket too? :( i was already at $713 for the Cams, springs & retainers, Studs & rocker stopper =[ then i got a price to install all of it for $600.. but i have to send out my ecu for that stuff thats the only thing that sucks.. but would i only really benifit from that tune after my cams? how much hp do you think id make w/ my new cams? im running the stock 7lbs of boost still.. have yet to install my greddy profec B spec 2

headgasket and headstuds are a good idea, but the stock head is fine for the jwt s3 cams... and you will notice a big difference, i cant give you exact numbers though.. my buddy is running a stock sr with bolt ons and pon cams.. pretty impressive actually

Idk about JWT But i was gunna go for these:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brian-Cr ... 5ae160cf28 but i found them $25 cheaper then that price.. also the redstop sr20, [probably all sr20dets in general] is infamous for getting hot im guessing..? because i was driving my car today, did a couple pulls and as usual with stock boost and turbo at 3k rpms flooring the gas, after 3k the rpms shoot up. i tryed another pull like 10 mins after the 3 nice pulls i did and it was weird, my turbo was spooling up the same but it was going much slower.. the rpms werent shooting up anymore.. i got home, poped my hood, saw nothing wrong but the engine was really hot [i have a FMIC & mishimoto radiator] so im guessing just the engine being hot and my intake sucking in hot air is why my car wasnt pulling so nice..?

No, your engine was hot because it had been running.

As long as water is blowing out of the radiator into the overflow, your car didn't overheat. If you already bought the heat wrap then all it can do is help. As far as why the car suddenly got sluggish, that could be caused by any number of things

mkay, your also gonna need clocking adapters for the turbo if you dont want to fab up your hotpipe. get turbo lines also..You defiantly need a fuel pump. and make sure that you have a tuner for the nistune. I have a nistune board and finding a tuner who is familiar with the software isnt easy..

edit: and dont forget a z32 maf

I don't think the exhaust manifold is necessary. Just get the oem mani extrude honed and call it a day.

^^this

i actually sent the OP some links and told him about extrude honing... here it is again http://www.gethoned.com/

it is odd considering he wants to buy a manifold that is x2 the price of the cheap turbo this thread was started over...hmm

I didnt really know better, after talking to the shop owner who's life is building 240's for a living, hes convinced me to not cheap out, im looking around on ebay and websites to find the cheapest T28 i can, also my engine internals will be able to handle the 300hp T28 build? Also the Mechanic said i might not need clocking plates, jus loosen the exhaust manifold and turn it or something like that. also the mechanic recomended Nistune to me. I just got my pay today, After a trip to the bank tomorow.. ordering the parts begins.. [Also need to sell my Dangerous time bomb china charger lol]

You will need the clocking adapters. They're only 30-50 bucks.Your internals should be fine. Do a compression test before doing anything else and that will tell you. Any problems you have now will only get worse with an upgraded turbo. If you compression numbers are fine, then the internals will be fine for that turbo

Yeah im gunna do a compression test, also the performance shop i went to, i added there facebook, went on a link they had on there wall, and found you on there thread! [Hoffman] The shop i went to was... Tarmac! lol, there really cool there. Im so happy the performance shop closer to me closed early for the day forcing me to go to tarmac.. it was totally worth the extra 8 minute drive.
