How the **** do you get the C ring back into the shifter well when the new shifter is sitting there with that plastic ring around it? It is sitting to high to get that C ring back into position. Since the old shifter sits lower that ring will go right back in, but not with this new one. Am I the only one that has had this problem?!

Ok, I figured it out and got the shifter in, finally.
All in all, it was DEFINATELY WORTH the $60. Smooth, solid and direct shifts. I might have gotten pissed off, but it feels absolutely solid and I'm loving it.
Thanks underground!
Oh yea, I can't use my Greddy shiftknob with it though

How long will this last? I am planning to go SR20DET and will know if I am going to be able to go through with it around august 20th or so. (I have insurance money coming to me when I turn 18 on the 14th)

Electrical tape is what I used. The stock OEM shifter upper ball is a little thicker than the Megan one. I just wrapped a few pieces of tap around it, and cut grooves for the joints to slide in.
I also placed the OEM c-ring back in the hole, but I didn't have to push it in the grove. I just simply put the blue ring over it and that applied plenty enough pressure to keep the thing from bouncing around.
This way the shifter feels ultra stiff. My last one I installed had much more play.
I like this way more as its throws are much more noticablely short.

Yes, that c-ring is just sittin atop that plastic ring, and with that blue thing on top, that is plenty of pressure to make this shifter VERY stiff. Very good feeling shifter, I am impressed.
It likes to kick out of 2nd gear sometimes, but I will fix this by loosening one of the screws. Other then that, and the noise which I will try the electrical tape thing, I am very pleased!!!
