Let me lay some physics on you people... this "exponential" talk that your speaking of does not occur at 10mph over the limit. well call "danger" as not having the ability to stop as quickly. by the formula K=1/2(m*v^2) kinetic energy=1/2 mass times velocity squared. kinetic energy is basically moving energy, energy that must be transformed into heat (in the form of joules) by your brakes or wind resistance etc in order to slow down. the "danger" increases like this: if you double your speed, kinetic energy increases by 4. nothing more, nothing less, 10MPH over is BS as an exponential increase. and as for aerodynamic drag, that is defined as "the point at which the force acting on the vehicle by the wind is equal to the force the motor puts to the wheels", thus nulling the forces out, creating no acceleration (F=ma) where net force is 0, mass is constant, so acceleration must be 0. any more questions, direct them to me at
[email protected] if you send me junk mail ill be pissed. BTW ive hit 150mph in a lexus ES300, held that speed (or close to it... ~140) for approximately an hour coming back from a college with my friends at about 5 AM and didnt see a single car. my friend was driving. wind noise is incredible, and so is tunnel vision, the dotted white lines become solid.
