goin up to bristol this past weekend for the nopi race wars me and my friend hit somewhere between 125-130. i dont know for sure cuz my 240 only registers 115. the needle was down almost passed the trip. we were racin a prelude, eclipse, and s10 extreme the whole way up there but they never passed us once

my experience seems to be the same as many others......wrapped the speedo till it pointed straight down between the m and p on mph.......except the highway patrolman chewed me out for driving so fast while in military uniform, but he let me off when i showed him my "iraqi freedom" deployment orders

The thought of going that fast in a Mini scares the **** outta me. Anyway, I topped out at 155mph in my Thunderbird SC, with K&N and no mufflers, AND non-governed (stock for 5-speed models).

I've done 165mph in my brothers 2000 SS Camaro. He doesn't know about it but thats our little secret now isnt it. hehe. Those mile markers were goin by about every 15 seconds. THAT was cool. It was on George Bush Tollway at about 1:30 so zero traffic and 5 lanes of freedom, i'd have to say that was pretty fun. <<<Tom>>>

I've hit the speed limiter in my 96 s14. I think it was right around 114mph. Sucks too because I was still pulling hard when I hit it. It's stock other than a catback exhaust.

I hit the limitor in my 95 240 at about 118-120mph. But she was only revving about 3500-4000 so she was still pullin. I bet it woulda hit prolly 130-35 without the fuel cut.

I dunno how fast I got it....all I know is that it was past the 115 mark...and the limiter didn't even kick in. Yay.

118 (governor) in my S14. 115 (governor) in my S13. I hit the top speed on both my 240s within an hour of getting them. hahaha

Not a very fast top speed though. When I first got my S14 I was so excited on the freeway, I was expecting like 130+ but it hit the wall at 118mph. Now that it's faster it gets to 118 rather quickly and it hits the governor even harder. Anyone actually do it in a 95 240 that can tell me the exact procedure to remove it?

I'm dealing with a ticket for "82++" in a 55, so maybe speeding isnt the best thing to do.

I know the feeling - however, it's hard to stay under 80mph in my car. Havng boost out of the factory is too damn addicting!!!

damn how can 110 be scarry?!.. ive gottin my 240 up in the 130's a few times.. and its not too scary.. just the fact of cops bein around.. but i cruz on the highway no less then 90MPH, i like to stay at like 105.. and yes i do have a radar

110mhph isn't that scary. I use to take my 93 Pontiac Grand Am GT to that ALL the time. It was ticking 4500 RPMS but the governor would stop it from going past 112.

i think after 130 things get hairy quick.

130mph isn't that bad, if you have a well-tuned suspension. I can't even tell that I'm going that fast, from how smooth the ride is in my car.
