For those who actually have a KA24E (Like me) I can hit 115mph in 4th at about 5000rpms. I still have until 6700rpms before the rev limitor kicks in, and all of 5th gear. That's only 45mph faster you have to accomplish in about 1.3 gears. Most of my gears have about a 40mph threshold.
you are kidding right? I don't even think my sr can hit 160. Above 130 is already scary enough for me, no way I am going beyond that.

it does remind me of the original BMW M5 from the eighties ad"the sensible 160mph family sedan"
bingo, air resistance is the key. It may be very easy to travel from 20mph to 80mph but from 80mph to 140mph is a lot harder, let alone 160mph

limited or not, gauge cluster are not very accurate and is designed to be appear faster than you actually are going. Meaning if it says 100mph, you might be going only 90mph
Most of our 240sx, unless heavily modified, can't even pass 130mph. Stop relying on theories, stop relying on gauge clusters. Let's see some proof. Get it tested professionally.
