Confirmed by what?hsckris wrote:my brother hit a confirmed 153mph in his mostly stock s13. has intake, plugs/wires, cat and catback exhaust, and wheels & tires... thats it. its a KA DOHC w/ an auto trans.
so you have no idea what physical device was used. if you weren't even there, i have no problem raising the bs flag.hsckris wrote:all i know is what i've said, he would have to chime in for further details. i emailed him about it, but of course its upto him to post or not.
what you said is true, but from what i know calibration can only be off by so much, giving probably a 10mph (Max) differential either way.
i wasn't trying to start anything, but any way you look at it he hit at least 140+ w/ a KA (From what i know). he said it took awhile to get up to that speed and he had absolutely nothing left. anyhow, if you set up an SR 240 properly you could easily clear 160. most don't set it up for top speed though, with good reason.
sorry man, but i HAVE to call bs. esp on an auto transmission, a stock ka24de wont be makign much to the wheel at ALL. auto trannies arent to friendly to 'bolt ons'. your brother probably had a reliable 110 to the wheels, but thats no way in hell enough to compensate for the wind resistance.hsckris wrote:my brother hit a confirmed 153mph in his mostly stock s13. has intake, plugs/wires, cat and catback exhaust, and wheels & tires... thats it. its a KA DOHC w/ an auto trans.
You think?ghettoslide wrote:i was racing i was at 160mph... I had to slow down before turning the car.
Ok, you expect us to believe you hung with a GSXR to 160MPH in a stock 240?ghettoslide wrote: According to the speedometer on the GSXR1000 i was racing i was at 160mph.
