No. I don't. If you expect anyone to trust a confirmation for a speed like that you're going to have to give some details.

I think I just got called dense by someone claiming a speed of 153mph for a stock s13 auto.

you did. you were obviously to dense to figure out the import of my previous comment.

my brother can verify (also on this forum).

i didn't believe him either when he first told me. then i drove his car... its fast on top end (once you get past 70 or 80).

and hey, if you don't believe me, i don't give a &*^$. it wasn't even my car. i was just saying that a 240 could definitely hit 160 with enough power. police radars are accurate to within 3% i believe.

I still haven't figured it out. I can't read minds and you still aren't giving any details. Speed camera? Cop's mobile radar? Handheld radar unit? Do you know a cop who let you use it? Was it stolen? How well can you trust it to be properly calibrated?

I'm not completely against believing you (that is a LOT more than you'll get from most folks) but when you make a claim that huge you have to back it up with some pretty specific details.

No radar is more accurate than it's state of calibration.

GPS is about the only thing that can pretty well be trusted outright, and I've seen GPS show various radar devices to be off by 5mph (very common) or even as much as 15mph (only seen one like this). Considering that this is at 50mph or so, the discrepancy would be far greater at 150mph.

all i know is what i've said, he would have to chime in for further details. i emailed him about it, but of course its upto him to post or not.

what you said is true, but from what i know calibration can only be off by so much, giving probably a 10mph (Max) differential either way.

i wasn't trying to start anything, but any way you look at it he hit at least 140+ w/ a KA (From what i know). he said it took awhile to get up to that speed and he had absolutely nothing left. anyhow, if you set up an SR 240 properly you could easily clear 160. most don't set it up for top speed though, with good reason.

so you have no idea what physical device was used. if you weren't even there, i have no problem raising the bs flag.

you know probably most of the big machines that tell your speed on the side of the road only display 2 digits...

sorry man, but i HAVE to call bs. esp on an auto transmission, a stock ka24de wont be makign much to the wheel at ALL. auto trannies arent to friendly to 'bolt ons'. your brother probably had a reliable 110 to the wheels, but thats no way in hell enough to compensate for the wind resistance.

According to the speedometer on the GSXR1000 i was racing i was at 160mph. My speedometer will not go all the way around it bottoms out. thats a KA24DE. It's been awhile and i just car back from my ex who stole it when i went to Arkansas. It's in bad shape but i think i need boost anyway. Cut your gov., at the ecu and floor it. Thats the only way to know for sure I forgot to mentio i would not go any faster than this even if i could. I was getting bad front end lift to the point where i could not turn the car, if i would have tried to hard it would have done a summersault. I had to slow down before turning the car.

Ok, you expect us to believe you hung with a GSXR to 160MPH in a stock 240?

You would need about 700HP to do that.

More like he thought he was racing a GXSR that really didn't even notice him.
