It's not too loud. But it also depends on the catback you are using

Well, the next part of my master plan has arrived. Garrett GT3582R So right now to have my car boosted, I need just a few more parts.

all the piping
oil & water lines
fuel pump and injector upgrades

I'm assuming you dnt have much room due to the 3.5 engine so I would use the 2nd intercooler.
& also are you gonna use an upgraded fuel pump?

Question, does the uprev tune require a MAF sensor? With my turbo setup I believe I no longer have one...

http://www.speedforceracing.com/index.p ... uctID=1017

"We also incorporated another unique element to this turbo system and that is converting the MAF sensor into a blow-through unit.By converting to a blow-through system it allowed us to use a conventional blow-off valve and vent it to atmosphere as well as being much safer for the engine.Yes, safer!"

I could have sworn that someone did an uprev tune with the SFR turbo before?

Nevermind my last question I guess since I found that the MAF sensor does connect. I'm just unsure if it's the stock one or aftermarket, hmm... Regardless I should be able to have it tuned from what I'm being told. Only problem is that uprev says it could take up to 2 weeks to hack my ECU because it's not on their list. :\

i think mine took about a week from when the ROM dump was done. But it was well worth it. I'm about to get a returne done now that i installed the Plenum and TB spacers and the BOP plates

Very nice Importroller ! I've been thinking about uprev as well I have been reading up on them, unfortunately the closest one to me is down in Louisville,KY but it won't be a bad trip. I'm trying to grasp the steps ( If you wouldn't mind taking me to school) How does the whole tune process work? Such as the ROM dump and so on? Also I'm sure that i'm not the only one that wants an update on your turbo build sir!!

If uprev does not have the ROM for your car, the tuner plugs the laptop in your obd II port and downloads the ROM file. The tuner then emails the file to uprev so they can decode the block and make the ROM programmable. The tuner will then upload the cracked file to your ecu and run it on the dyno programming the computer for higher output based on the mods done on your Car.

My turbo build is on its way. Collecting the rest of the parts. I have to smog my car in February so I'm going to do the install after that.

Hey Importroller,
did you get the tune done after the spacers? also, did you get noticable power gains across rpms. I know BOP can reduce low end torque. I'm looking to get the spacers. Thx.

I've been on Nico Club several times since March and have used these forums as an extremely helpful reference. Everyone here is awesome!

I recently got my 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5 SE with CVT transmission tuned by Uprev at JEImports in Baltimore, MD. Great group of guys - especially the owner James. We had a bit of trouble at first since the CVT does not have any real gears. The first tune was done on the Uprev Dyno, which connected directly to the rotors and read everything that way. It definitely unlocked hp and torque at low to mid speeds (until about 75mph), but it would then run lean and lose a bit of power past that. Also, the "gear" ratios in Manual mode were a bit off. As in, my first would last up to about 50mph and second I would last up to 75 mph. To fix the issues mentioned, we did a street tune. He was able to fix the problems with some tweaking and now it feels great! It's a lot more responsive and you can definitely feel the extra hp and tq across the board. More so between 20-80 mph. According to the dyno sheet, 258 hp and tq at the wheels (I can scan and email upon request).

Performance Mods I have:

K&N CAI
Raceline Y-Pipe
Borla Catback Exhaust System
Custom 2.5'' Mid-Pipe (from Y-Pipe to catback exhaust)
Stillen Lightweight Pulley w/ shorter belt

I hope this helps with any decisions regarding UpRev tuning!

Hey Hercman1,

I have 07 3.5 cvt and was wondering can you post your dyno results or email it to me. Thx.

i haven't done the retune yet. I'm currently working on some other things so I'm putting the retune off for a little bit. I am only using one of the BOPs because i lost so much low end,

Do u lose any low end with just the spacers?

Fyi. I spoke to Joe with Racingline yesterday and he said he
will have test pipe prototypes next week. He,s looking for someone to test them out and report back the results. I think the pipes are around$250 shipped and he will reimburse after testing. Pipes will be free. Pass the word.

Here's the Uprev tune on my '08 3.5SE CVT Coupe. It's difficult to dyno, but feasible at the hands of a skilled tuner.

how come there is so much fluctuation with the torque band?

so you made 295 Hub HP. the dyna pack hooks up to the hub, not a dyno roller. good numbers though, and also good to know the uprev works with the 07.

ive been thinking of using the uprev for a while, so now i know itll work.

what other options will you be able to set with the uprev, such as extended rev limit, 2 step, launch control, etc.?

by the looks of your graph, looks like the engine wouldve made power way past 7k RPM. theres no drop off. only concern is the torque band, its not smooth.

Not sure what was causing the fluctuation. In Performance mode I do not have a red line. The car keeps pulling up to about 7500 when i shift if i'm racing. driving it I had a very smooth constant power increase until i added the plenum spacer and BOP. Now I have to retune it because i now have some noticeable dips in the TQ curve
