Wow really? I got mine done on Friday. This was two days after my shop sent UpRev the dump from my ECU for programming.

I'm very happy with it. The car revs much better and it pulls at the higher RPM's much more substantially.

LOL. a very fast sedan at that!

I think I'm getting the run around too. I'm looking into other tuners to see about getting it done.

i found a new tuner. the previous tuner stopped returning calls so I'm going to Church's automotive this saturday for them to do the ROM dump, and then hopefully will have the tune done before the end of the year (scheduling issues)

Good to hear! I've heard a lot of good reviews about Church's from the Honda community (I use to own a Civic, then Integra) so I'm sure you'll be in good hands.

i just ordered a fuel pump upgrade which should be here before the actual tune. I have a feeling the stock pump will be getting maxed out.

I just got a great offer on a bully dog tuner as well. So I'm gonna see if the will do a vs dyno run for comparison sake. Then I'm gonna re sell the bd since it won't work on my g35.

Total waste.

I'm boosted running 565cc injectors and not maxing out the stock pump at all. Not worth the time to change it.

And I dunno what pump you go because I didn't think they made a Walbro for the Altima Coupes/Sedans.. our pump setup is different. Check the SER SpecV pumps, same issue. They have to be modded and re-use certain parts. Please prove me wrong, I want to see this. :)

What are you expectations on a stock motor with intake and exhaust?

You'll be lucky to get 10hp out of it.

If you have a GOOD tuner you will get a smoother power curve across the power band. Don't set your expectations too high is all I'm saying.

Once you're boosted, that will be another story haha.

I'm hoping for about 25HP gain.the vq averages 20-30whp gain with a good tuner

^^ On the 350z version of the 3.5L.

I'm not saying you're absolutely NOT going to get those numbers, but I'd be VERY surprised. Certainly do a base line dyno before they tune it to compare.

Just seems to be a large jump.

I've been reading through the 350z forums on other sites and most are 10 - 15HP Max on the tune over stock. The ones that are getting more then that are adding other mods at the same time such as:

1. Intake
2. Exhaust
3. Cat Deletes

Unless you are counting your intake and stuff over the stock tune.

Was that with Uprev or Bullydog? Results look good! How much did you spend on everything you needed from Uprev, besides the actual cost of the tuning from Church if you don't mind me asking? I'm really interested in getting my car tuned early next year.

Oh wow, not too bad at all.. definitely going to pick that hopefully in February. I have a local tuner who I've been friends with for a while now who is pretty involved in the community, but how was your experience at Church's?

hey importroller nice gains man! i was wondering what mods do you have as i would like to post your gains on my 7th gen maxima facebook group as the VQ35 altima and VQ35 maxima share the same engine with minor differenced with intake and exhaust flow. And could the CVT VQ35 owner please post before and after numbers as i would like to share the info with the community even if they are not accurate the gains should be calculated at a consistent power increase basis.

QR25 you really seem like a hater..if not just saying negative comments out of spite...

Thanks

You are free to use my info. Shoot me am invite to the page. [email protected]
Only thing I didn't like about church is the type of dyno they use. But gains are gains regardless of which type of dyno was in use.

As for power mods, I have k& n intake, racing line ypipe, custom 3" exhaust and that's it.everything else is setup for braking and suspension for my style of driving

thanks for response @ 4am EST! LOL

im sure this information will please the maxima owners ! as we are heavy into modding just some insecurities stop us from spending the $500 for a tune lol and im DEF not buying a bullydog

hey you should join the maxima FB group and ask CORY for the intake manifold spacers he has made for the 7th gen and the block off plates as we have a dyno of a consistant 10wheel hp increase! would work well for your car also!

cory has actually just moved to san diago california (i think im not 100% sure i know he's somewhere in cali) he drives a silver 6th gen maxima 2004-07 model with GTR body kit and chrome wheels

this is a short video of a 7th gen maxima with the manifold spacers and bop cory made for us if you could get a hold of him im sure he would be more then happy to make a set for the altima guys (but the IM should be very similar if not EXACTLY the same)

and this is the link to his website

http://cxjperformance.com/index.php?route=common/home

ME and Dan (owner of the silver maxima on this video) are the ONLY 2 maxima owners with TRUE COLD AIR INTAKES as we both relocated battery to trunk (thats why the intake screams so much lol)

importroller, your base line was 275 wheel horsepower ,or was it 275 horsepower at the motor,275 at the wheel sounds like a lot,if it is at the wheel thats great horsepower with factory being 270 at the motor.
was this tune done on your g35 or the altima?

That baseline is at the wheels in the Altima with just the bolt ons.
